Chapter 14 It is not difficult to remember even the finer details of that day, a day that began like any other, but within a few hours had twisted into tragedy, starting the beginning of the end for all of us. It was a day I would take back if I could. I’d start it differently, do it all again, right from the moment I opened my eyes on that fateful morning. The rain had started after days of relentless heat that cast a still pall over the river.
