Valentina rolled over in bed and continued to read the notes she’d stolen from Sergei’s tablet. Most of them were fairly standard, although the additional information he’d gathered about the Inner Circle was interesting. It was easy to understand why so many of the Coalition had difficulty believing their abilities were anything more than exaggerated descriptions or outright superstition.
