Finally; something was happening, Everly thought. Even though she wasn't directly linked to what was happening,she still felt relief because she had been anxious and waiting with her cousin.
"What did she say?" Everly sat up.
"It's pretty cryptic," Ella said with a shrug as she joined her under the covers.
"Cryptic is good," Everly noted.
"How?" Ella frowned, failing to understand her cousin's train of thought.
"It means that the lack of clarity in her words mean that she's not ready to end things with you," Everly said. "Let me see?"
"Doesn't mean that she wants to stay either," Ella handed her the phone.
"True," Everly agreed. "But it means that a little effort can sway and nudge her in the right direction." She read the text. Which was a simple
