WHAT? I was taken aback, never in my wildest dreams had I imagined that my parents would ask me to do something like this. "mm.... mom, what are you talking about?" I asked hesitatingly, hoping that she would turn into fits of laughter and say that they were just messing with me! but I was wrong, they looked dead serious though. "  hear me out princess," my dad said "I know it's a lot to take, but there were some....... conditions in your grand father's will when I became the owner of our company. I didn't read the contract properly, and signed it". he took a deep breath while continuing "after the formalities were done, your grandpa told me about the special contract that stated that I would marry my first girl child to his friend's grandson at the time of your twenty-third birthday." "darling, he is a nice man, we have seen him since he was a kid. he is a good man, and we want you to think about it." my mom touched my face lovingly "your grandpa loved you, baby, you know that. he must be having something good in his mind when he wrote the contract." I know my grandpa won't take any decision that would jeopardize my future, but I just turned twenty-three last week, he should have given me some more time! but again it's not like I have any boyfriend in my life.  hell I don't even have any crush since I was born on this planet called earth! my parents were looking at me intently, perhaps they were trying to figure out my thoughts.  I was feeling like a lab rat on which my grandpa had declared a theory and my parents are experimenting on it! I didn't know what came in me when I suddenly blurted out "yes" s**t!  suddenly there was a thousand-watt smile on the faces and I was engulfed into a bone-crushing hug by both of my parents. "I am so proud of you angel" my dad smiled at me and my mom is grinning ear to ear beside him. I tried to I've them a genuine smile "can I go back to my room now, I am very tired" "of course darling" my mom gave me a satisfied smile.  The next morning, I was told by my parents that I have a meeting with a special person. and guess who that special person is?  my to-be-husband, uhhhh! to say I was pissed would be a huge understatement. earlier today was going to be my rest day since it was a Sunday but now, it's an awkward lunch meeting with a stranger who would be known as my husband in the future. so now I was waiting at a posh restaurant and my to-be-husband is eight minutes late! I should have brought my favorite novel to read than to get bored at this restaurant with judging stares coming from my nearby tables. well, I don't blame them, to be honest, I purposely dressed like an athlete just to piss off my to-be-husband so he would cancel this marriage himself. with a pink sleeveless top, black leggings paired with my special Nike shoes. I put my hair in a high ponytail. anybody can say that this dress is highly inappropriate for this place. suddenly a manly voice s*****d into my ears, "may I know your name?" I saw a man in a black suit with a pair of shades on and was looking at me with a raised eyebrow. he had already made himself comfortable at the opposite chair of my table. I can say he was confident about who I was, but still he asked. I pushed a strand of hair behind my ear, "umm.... my name is Daisy" I said with hesitation I can't believe that my parents asked me to meet this guy alone! I have a phobia for God's sake!  "my name is Christopher Davis" he introduced himself. "I am here to discuss our marriage" I was stunned, Christopher Davis?  the same guy whose lips Sammy wants to eat? s**t! don't go there Daisy. he sensed my discomfort, he removed his shades and revealed his sparkling blue eyes and gave me a warm panty-dropping smile.  he is too beautiful for his good. what the hell daisy!! "I am under  the impression that you are informed about this arrangement," he said "yeah" I don't know what to say. I kept looking at the counter behind him because I was too mesmerized by this male species, I can't afford to further embarrass myself at our first meet. "Okay then, I think we are on the same page" he took a deep breath, I can say that this arrangement is also not according to his will. so yeah! we are definitely on the same page. his eyes were not showing any emotions which further increased my discomfort. then he continued "I have some rules, Miss Wright. we both know that this marriage is just an arrangement. we should keep some rules so it should stay that way." he looked at me seriously while on the other hand, I was quiet because I was not expecting him to be so cold about this marriage  "I have some serious issued Miss Wright please don't expect me to be the normal loving husband because you will never find that kind of love with me" "I have only three rules at my side " his eyes were cold "first, don't talk about our relationship to others. I am a very private person and I would like to keep it that way. second, we will never share one bed and last, you will stay out of my business". I was stunned!
