Chapter 4The Next Day
Malvo was leaned over in a chair inside of The Jackson’s kitchen. He rifled through a Macy’s shopping bag where he had ten blocks of heroin hidden underneath beach towels. One by one, his hands came from out of the bag holding blocks of heroin wrapped in tinfoil and beige tape. He stacked the blocks neatly on the table on top of one another. He picked up his smoldering cigarette from out of the ashtray and took a quick pull. He then reached into another Macy’s shopping bag and pulled out a hefty bubble coat, baggy blue jeans, and an L.A. fitted cap. Malvo was grateful that it was the month of October because the weather was cooler, making the warm clothing justifiable. And Eureka would need hefty apparel to hide the dope he was going to strap her down with.
