Eureka sat on the steps in deep thought as she casually smoked a cigarette. These past few days had been hectic and the nicotine was just what she needed to calm her nerves. She didn’t know what her next move was going to be. She was running low on money. She had enough dough for another week’s stay at the motel and a week’s worth of food if she budgeted right. After that, she didn’t have a clue on what she was going to do. She didn’t just have herself to look after, but her baby brother as well.
