“Erick said he would think of something to help us deal with his father,” Heather remarked.
They all turned to look at Heather, astonished by the startling comment. She was talking about Erick as though they were old friends.
“Heather, exactly what happened when you went upstairs?” asked Gypsy.
“We came to an understanding. You could say we bonded,” said Heather with a smile.
