I'm trying not to read too much into Ryder's behaviour, his mate is in a bad way but I could feel his rage roll off him. It was directed at me.
I see him speaking to the doctor and try to listen in.
beta Ryder, your mate, is healing nicely, her external wounds are almost healed, her internal wounds still need more time, probably 3 or so days, but I believe she is out of the woods". I let out the breath I was holding, I saw Kate do the same and walk over to Ryder. She must have been listening in aswell.
I turn around when the hospital doors open. Pete and Phil walk back in " how is she" Pete asks.
"The doctor thinks she might be out of the woods. If she keeps healing at the current rate 3 or so days she should be ok" I say. I see relief flooding the faces around me. Emily ha
