The Order of Seven

FADE IN: INT. SEVENTH DOOR CHAMBER – CONTINUOUS Flashlights swept through the darkness. One beam landed on Maya. Another on Jordan. A third stopped on Grant. The footsteps came to a halt. Then, a calm voice spoke. "Vice Principal Grant." "You've disappointed us." Grant stepped in front of Maya. "I'm not moving." A figure dressed in a dark gray coat walked down the staircase. Unlike the hooded strangers Maya had seen before, this person's face was uncovered. He was middle-aged, with sharp eyes and a long scar across his right cheek. Behind him stood six others. Each wore a silver pin shaped like a bell. Jordan counted them. "Seven..." The man smiled. "Very observant." INT. SEVENTH DOOR CHAMBER The stranger looked around the room. "So..." "You found the Seventh Door." Maya stood her ground. "Who are you?" He gave a slight bow. "My name is Victor Hale." "I speak for the Order of Seven." Emma frowned. "I've never heard of you." "You weren't supposed to." Victor's eyes settled on the steel door. "For more than a century, our Order has protected what lies beyond it." Grant scoffed. "No." "You've controlled it." Victor didn't argue. "Control is sometimes another word for protection." INT. SEVENTH DOOR CHAMBER – CONTINUOUS Jordan stepped forward. "What do you want with Maya?" Victor answered without hesitation. "Nothing." "We need her choice." Maya blinked. "My... choice?" Victor nodded toward the steel door. "Your brother understood." "So did Mara." "They both refused." Maya's heart skipped a beat. "You knew Caleb?" "I met him." "Where is he?" For the first time, Victor hesitated. "I don't know." It was the first answer Maya believed was completely honest. INT. SEVENTH DOOR CHAMBER – MOMENTS LATER The room suddenly filled with the sound of slow applause. Everyone turned. The Director stepped out from a side passage. His coat was torn, and there was dried blood on one sleeve. But he stood tall. "I was wondering when you'd arrive, Victor." Victor smiled politely. "You look tired." "I've had a difficult evening." Grant let out a relieved sigh. "You made it." The Director nodded once. Then he looked at Maya. "Whatever happens..." "...don't open the door." Victor laughed softly. "And there it is." "The same warning you've repeated for twenty years." INT. SEVENTH DOOR CHAMBER – CONTINUOUS The Director faced Maya. "You deserve the truth." He took a slow breath. "The Seventh Door doesn't hide a weapon." "It doesn't hide treasure." "It hides records." Jordan looked confused. "Records?" "Yes." "The complete history of everyone connected to Project Hallway." Maya frowned. "Then why keep it sealed?" The Director's expression grew serious. "Because among those records..." "...is the identity of the person who started everything." Silence. Emma whispered, "The Founder." The Director nodded. "And if the wrong people get those records..." "They can erase the truth forever." Victor calmly folded his hands. "Or preserve it correctly." INT. SEVENTH DOOR CHAMBER – CLIFFHANGER Before anyone could move— The bell symbol on the steel door began glowing bright white. A mechanical voice echoed through the chamber. Final Authorization Required. The blank pillar Maya had touched earlier lit up again. Words slowly appeared across its surface. Blood of the Founder Detected. Everyone stared at Maya. Jordan looked from the pillar to her. "What does that mean?" Even the Director looked stunned. Victor's confident smile disappeared for the first time. He whispered, "That's impossible..." Maya took an involuntary step backward. "I'm... related to the Founder?" The chamber fell completely silent. No one had an answer. To be continued in Episode 7 – Part 3...
