FADE IN: INT. WESTBROOK HIGH – MAIN HALLWAY The last locker slammed shut. BANG! Silence. Students stood frozen, staring at the rows of lockers. "What just happened?" "Was that some kind of drill?" Teachers rushed into the hallway, equally confused. But when Maya looked around... Every white envelope was gone. It was as if they had never existed. Jordan bent down and opened the locker beside him. Empty. "No envelope." Maya checked another. Nothing. "They disappeared." Only one envelope remained. The one in Maya's hands. Across the front, in black ink, were the familiar words: TO THE STUDENT WHO ASKS TOO MANY QUESTIONS. INT. EMPTY CLASSROOM – MOMENTS LATER Maya, Jordan, Emma, and Mr. Ellis gathered in an unused classroom. Jordan carefully unfolded the letter. Inside was a single sheet of paper. At first glance, it looked blank. Emma frowned. "There's nothing here." Mr. Ellis tilted the page toward the window. Still nothing. Then Maya remembered something from the science lab. She held the paper under a small UV flashlight from a lab kit that was still in her backpack. Blue writing slowly appeared. Jordan read it aloud. The second password belongs to the architect. Find the name above the first brick. Emma looked confused. "The architect?" Maya's eyes widened. "The voice in the auditorium..." "'Who built Locker 117?'" Jordan nodded. "It wasn't asking about the locker." "It was asking about the person." INT. SCHOOL ENTRANCE – AFTERNOON The four of them walked toward the oldest part of the building. Above the main entrance was a weathered stone arch. Years of dirt covered the engraved names. Mr. Ellis borrowed a maintenance brush from a nearby storage closet. As he carefully cleaned the stone, letters slowly appeared. WESTBROOK HIGH SCHOOL Below that... A smaller inscription. Designed by Daniel Ashcroft – 1931 Emma pointed. "D.A." Maya looked at Jordan. "The initials." Jordan nodded. "So The Director isn't Daniel Ashcroft..." "But someone connected to him." EXT. FRONT COURTYARD – CONTINUOUS A cold breeze swept through the courtyard. Maya looked closer at the stone arch. Just above Daniel Ashcroft's name was a loose brick. "The note..." "'Find the name above the first brick.'" She carefully pressed the brick. CLICK. A tiny compartment slid open. Inside was a folded blueprint. The paper was yellow with age. Across the top were the words: Original Construction Plans – Room 117 Jordan unfolded it. Locker 117 wasn't shown as a locker. Instead... It was labeled: Observation Room Emma looked puzzled. "Observation room?" Mr. Ellis stared at the blueprint in disbelief. "So that's what it used to be..." INT. LIBRARY – EVENING They spread the blueprint across a large table. Hidden behind the drawing of Room 117 was a handwritten note. The ink had nearly faded. Maya read it aloud. The observation room was never destroyed. It was hidden. Jordan looked at the diagram. "There should be another wall behind the lockers." Emma frowned. "But there's nothing back there." "There is now." Jordan pointed to a narrow space marked only with the letter X. "It's a hidden room." INT. HALLWAY – NIGHT The school was nearly empty. The four returned to Locker 117. Maya entered the first password. D O O R The keypad beeped. ENTER SECOND PASSWORD She looked at the blueprint. At Daniel Ashcroft's full name. Then slowly typed: A S H C R O F T The keypad paused. For three long seconds, no one moved. Then... ACCESS GRANTED A loud mechanical rumble echoed inside the wall. The lockers surrounding 117 began sliding apart. Dust poured from the ceiling. A narrow steel door emerged from behind the lockers. There was no handle. Only one sentence engraved into the metal: THE OBSERVATION NEVER ENDED. Before Maya could touch the door... Every light in the hallway went out. Emergency lights flickered on. Then, from behind the steel door... Someone knocked. Knock... Knock... Knock. Jordan whispered, "Someone's inside." The knocking stopped. A voice, weak and barely audible, came through the steel. "...Help me." Maya froze. She recognized that voice. Jordan did too. They looked at each other in shock. "It..." Jordan's eyes filled with hope. "...it sounds like Noah." To be continued in Episode 5 – Part 3...
