Laura's POV:
I wasn't sure when I had blacked out. But when I woke up, I was back in my own room.
Matthew was right there, sitting beside me, keeping a close eye on me.
As my eyes opened slowly, I was met with his worried gaze.
"Laura, you're finally awake!" he said softly. His voice was gentle and warm.
"Alpha Matthew, can you tell me what happened?" My mind was blank.
All I could remember was walking to the edge of a cliff and sobbing uncontrollably there. Then, out of nowhere, a surge of power seemed ready to explode from within me, and I blacked out.
"Laura, I have some great news for you!" To my surprise, Matthew was beaming as he spoke.
I stared at him, confused. But then he hit me with the news.
