Chapter 14............. Confusing...

882 Words
We all turned to see a girl standing in the doorway, with dark skin and stormy grey eyes. Her frizzy hair was pulled back in a low bun, and a threatening scar in shape of a thunderbolt crossed one side of her face. The right side of her face was more welcoming, but once you saw the left side of her face you felt more threatened. I knew this was the girl that Laya had shown me, Laya ran up to her and hugged her hard. The girl's face immediately went from angry to calm as soon as Laya jumped into her arms. I pulled off my face cover and introduced myself, I was expecting a better reaction but all I got from her was a glare. The boys were still crashed out on the bed when we entered the living room, strings of light hung from the ceiling and a long couch and small round couch chairs were scattered in the room. Once we were all settled in Laya seemed to discover the tension between me and her "friend", " Allison, this is Agápi.." . Agápi turned to me and gave a slight smile, silence filled the room once again. Laya seemed to wiggle in her seat, " This is becoming unbearable! I'm going to turn on the TV now and make some tea! " she said with a slight growl. When Laya returned we had tea and Harold came to us from the bed, he was introduced and I feel like in that moment Agápi appreciated him more than me. I didn't know what her problem was but I sure didn't want to find out.. Ntérek woke up and soon we were all together in the living room, but time was a wasting. We had at least 2 hours to get back to Frourá Academy, but me and Laya had reached out limit of magic, and walking there would take a while, and if we took Agápi's motorcycle we'd wake up the city and the guards would see us sneaking in. We discussed this matter in the living room, " So we have to do what we have to do, I will perform the Time Stopper Spell. " . " Are you crazy Laya? Even Annabelle Fascinatus died TRYING to perform it..." I said as calmly as I could, but I guess I looked like a red flag because Agápi glared at me and gave a small snarl. I'm seriously starting to regret coming here, Laya looked at me, I really had to start remembering she could hear our thoughts." It sounds crazy but I need you all to trust me, so here's the plan-" The Plan....... I know Laya said to trust her, but this was crazy! At the moment we stood atop of an apartment building, Laya was spreading the glow paint on the ground, forming different shapes. The plan was for Laya and I to get the others to share the magic hidden in them, but it was a dangerous process. We needed f*******n ingredients never used by magic users, in fear of awakening some type of evil. But wherever those traditions went did not reach Laya. Before her mother died Laya had stolen an Everlasting Magic Stone, it was always kept in her mom's pocket. It sounds cool and all, but all it does is supply ingredients that a magic user needs by saying the name. Quite boring, but we couldn't find the ingredients, this was our only chance. Laya's understood the consequences, but she was taking action. The five of us sat around the spell circle, Laya held the Everlasting Magic Stone and said, " Ginger stick, Fairy Dust, Low Fat Organic Milk- " . Agápi interrupted Laya and said, " Low Fat Organic Milk? What are we using that for?". Ntérek raised his hand while biting his bottom lip in guilt, Agápi addressed him with an interested look on her face. " I got thirsty-" He said desperately putting his hands up. Agápi sighed in disbelief. Agápi pulled a dagger from her right boot, and checked out her scar in the dagger reflection. " Ok let's get this started, " Laya said rolling her disguise sleeves up, we held hands. " Let the clock reverse and wind, whisked up and away by time. So let us say our spell here in hope that the Time Goddess answers our plead. " We said in unison. For a frightening moment nothing happened, and a minute passed. Gold particles suddenly shifted from our bodies into Laya in a swipe, and the whites of her eyes glowed green. The circle we sat in turned gold, and radiated power. Laya spoke again, " TIME GODDESS ANSWER MY PLEAS..." but she spoke in triple, as if there were 3 of her. Suddenly an image flickered to life in the circle, a serious woman with green glowing eyes and golden gown and hood appeared. " Laya Fascinatus..." She boomed in a serious and sophisticated voice. " I swore years ago to never let a Fascinatus perform this spell again! " She screamed, and she said ' Fascinatus ' as if it was old gum on her shoe. " Laya Fascinatus..." She hissed, " YOU HAVE EARNED THE RIGHT TO BE JUDGED..."..
