Chapter 2: The Wedding
Luna didn’t even remember how she got home that night.
The contract was already signed.
Her hands were still shaking when Alexander’s assistant called her the next morning.
“Miss Reyes, the wedding will be tomorrow.”-
“Tomorrow?!” Luna almost dropped her phone.
“Yes. Mr. Knight doesn’t like wasting time.”
Everything happened so fast.
The next day, Luna found herself standing inside a luxurious private chapel.
She wore a beautiful white wedding dress that probably cost more than everything she owned.
Across from her stood Alexander Knight, cold, calm, and impossibly handsome in his black suit.
The priest cleared his throat.
“Do you, Alexander Knight, take Luna Reyes as your lawful wife?”
“I do.”-
Alexander answered without hesitation.
The priest then looked at Luna.
Her heart was racing.-
Dozens of bodyguards stood outside the chapel. Alexander’s assistant watched carefully from the side.
This marriage felt less like a wedding…
…and more like a business deal.
“Miss Reyes?” the priest repeated.
Luna swallowed.
“I… I do.”-
Just like that.
She became the wife of the most powerful billionaire in the city.
