Fortunately for her, they did not join her on the table. A serving girl went to her to fetch her order which is ale and soup. There was really no other choice. She was not hungry anyway, but she wanted something warm to fend for the night. When it was brought to her, she ate as she observed what’s around her. In one corner, a solitary figure sits hunched over a tankard, lost in thought. The only sound he makes was the occasional noise of his glass as he puts it down on the table.
