Chapter 5Markus came in from a good day’s work, feeling refreshed after a quick dip in the bathhouse. He wondered if the men who looked after the tubs would substitute a cool tub for the hot water now that the winter was coming to its end. He walked through the documents room, nodding to Troy as he did so.
“Good evening, Troy,” he said. “Busy?”
“Reasonably so, and going to be more soon,” he replied.
“Everyone at dinner was buzzing about the fact that you are ‘going to town’ tomorrow. What’s different from all the other times you’ve gone there?”
“What they mean is that I’m going to meet with the representatives from various Cities that are looking to hire a Company, and let them know which contract I’ve decided to take.”
