The Real Beginning

The next week, Mitchie had bad news for her best friends! Mitchie got the girls to come over to her house. Just as the girls walked in the door she blurted it out straight away. 

"MY FAMILY IS MOVING TO AMERICA", and started to cry. Her friends looked at her stunned. She also said was like this is all I need with everything else that I’m going through.

 Sasha asked “what do you mean with everything else you’re going through?” Mitchie replied nervously “oh oh am nothing it doesn’t matter”.

The next month Lacey’s best friend was moving to America! She went to say goodbye, as she hugged her friend for the last time she slipped a little pink paper in Mitchie’s pocket without her noticing. 

All it had on it was Lacey’s email and home address so Mitchie could write or email her. Lacey taught she won’t email me because she will have new friends and she won’t want to bother with her any more.

Two years has past but Lacey still looks at the photos of her and Rose at least once a week. Lacey was lost in taught just as she got a text from Gemma. 

Gemma wanted to meet up that afternoon so she agreed to meet her friend in town at 4:30. Things had changed in two years she taught to herself. After a big fight with Sasha over her spending too much time with her boyfriend they had stopped talking. That was two years ago. Lacey left for town to meet her only best friend left.

“Hey Lace, how are you?” Gem jumped when she seen her friend and ran to her, she also whispered to her “See that guy he really fancies you he wants your number! Matt gave him it” Lacey looked at her friend in surprise no one had asked for her number before.

“Gem are you sure? I never had anyone ask for my number?” she asked Gemma in worry.

“Yes I’m sure, now sit down and be yourself” she whispered very quickly as they had reached Matt and his friend. Matt was Gemma’s boyfriend. His friend turned out to be called Ben. For the rest of that evening they hung around the local stake park.

That night Ben text her say she was really pretty and he wanted to go on a date with her. Lacey never really taught about her looks she was tall for her age with long brown hair, hazel eyes and lightly tanned. 

Lacey had agreed but only to fit in as she was the only one of her friends who hadn’t had a boyfriend yet. She text him back saying yes but also asking when and where. They agreed on going to the movies the following weekend. Lacey rang Gemma straight away. “Gem Ben text me and I agreed to go to the movies with him next Saturday.”

“Wow Lace that’s brilliant are you excited? I’m so happy for you it’s about time you got a boyfriend, I always told you, you would. Just to give it time”. She reassured her friend. 

Lacey said good night to her friend and told her she would call her tomorrow. Ben had text Lacey a couple of times during the week, she only replied once or twice. When Saturday had come she hadn’t really made an effort in what to wear. She simply put on a pair of jeans and a hoody. 

As she arrived at the movies she noticed that Gemma and Matt were there also. She panicked a little. She said hi to all of them and pulled Gemma aside to talk to her friend privately. “Gem what are you doing here?!” she asked her friend seriously.

“Ben asked Matt to come as he was nervous to come alone, LACEY what are you wearing?” Gemma asked seriously. At that moment Lacey noticed her friend looked like she was going out for a night on the town. She was wearing skinny jeans and a nice top and leather jacket and boots. Her friend had really made an effort.

 Lacey admitted to Gem she wasn’t that interested in Ben. But she will try get to know him. So the returned to the guys and went to the movies.

When Lacey got home from the movies Gemma rang her. “So Lacey what happened at the movie?”

“Notting much Gem I kissed him once or twice that’s about it” she replied like it was no big deal

“What you kissed him! I was watching all through out the movie and I didn’t notice!” Gemma screamed down the phone.

“Yeah I did. I also agreed to meet him next Saturday alone. With out you or Matt!” she joked.

“Lacey let me know everything the min you get home ok! I MEAN EVERYTHNIG” Gemma said seriously

“Ok Gem I will. Night night” She said.

The next Saturday she went alone to meet up with Ben. That evening went a lot better then she had taught. And when Ben asked her out she agreed. Even though it hadn’t felt right but she taught it was the natural thing to do when a guy you kind of like asks you out. Even though she only liked him as a friend. When she arrived home she knew she had to ring Gemma.

“Gem he asked me out and I agreed.” She told her as she answered the phone.

“WHAT LACEY ARE YOU SERIOUS” she screamed down the phone. “I’ am so HAPPY for you I really am, I knew you would find someone. I’m so happy its Ben he’s really nice, I’ve known him a long time.” Gemma also added.

“Ok Gem, I’ll talk to you tomorrow night” Lacey replied. As Lacey came off the phone she had a text form Ben saying Good night babe, had a great day xxxxx. Lacey simply replied me 2 good night ben x.

 Lacey was so confused about the whole thing with Ben she couldn’t sleep so she decided to turn on her laptop and she had an email from an old friend she had not heard from in few years. She couldn’t believe it was Mitchie. She had to double read the mail twice to actually believe hit was her. The email said

Hey lace, its Mitchie can you believe it. I was going through some old clothes to give them to charity and I came across your email address that you had written it on your little pink paper and put in my pocket before I had left. I just came across it and knew I had to mail you straight away. If you get this as I just sent it ill be on instant chat so please log in and we chat!!!

Lacey nearly fell out of her bed in shock. She was so happy to hear from her. She sat up straight away and logged into instant chat so fast but it felt like forever. She taught Mitchie might not be online as she didn’t know what time the mail was sent. But she checked and it was only 5minutes ago she couldn’t believe her luck. Before she could even check to see if Mitchie was online the little window popped up saying

Hey hey Lace. How are you, it’s been a long time? How are things back home?

Hey Mitchie i cant believe it’s you. I haven’t heard from you in a really long time. I’m good things back home are good. Oh i also only talk to Gem now. Sasha isn’t our friend no more. Hows life in Chicago

WOW why aren’t ye talking anymore? Things have changed a lot lol. Things are good. Have a good love life things are alot different from home!!

Well Sasha decided to just hang with james after you left i mean CONSTANTLY we never saw her. So one day me and gem said it and she got all bitchy and that was it we just never spoke anymore. Ooohhh the love life TELL ME ALL lol.

Oh wow i never taught sasha was like tat. She kinda got on my nerves alot lol ssshhh hahaha. Well its something you wont expect, i don’t want you opinion of me to change but i don’t know how to say this any other way......

MITCHIE come on just tell me you know i’ll love you know matter what. Laceys heart was pounding she didn’t know what to think but she had an idea.

Well.... Lacey the easiest way to say this is straight out LOL but i’m gay... Please don’t think of me as any different please don’t.

Lacey didn’t know how to answer she just sat there staring at the screen in total shock. She taught Mitchie was the very same as when she left. But it looks like a lot has changed. Lacey’s thought’s were interrupted by the little bing! from her laptop.

Lacey please answer me please.. i don’t want things to be any different between us. I really miss you and wanted to get in contact with you. You were ARE my best friend since like forever. Im still the same person i was, its just i like girls instead of guys...

Lacey still stared at the screen but she knew she had to answer her friend, she replied

WOW Mitchie i wasn’t expecting that its a lot to take in after not talking to you in 2 years.... i wont think of you any different but can i ask you some questions about it.???

Course lace don’t be stupid we’re best friends you know you can ask me anything and i’ll answer honestly.

Yeaha my parents know and they totally support me 100percent lace. I’ve never been happier. The only thing i have to break up with skylar because im goin to Dublin next year for college and i dnt no how to do it.

That good your parents WAIT WHAT your coming to Dublin for college OMG i’m hoping to go to.... but is skylar your girlfriend??? awh you have a girlfriend is she nice? Next month are you serious.
