Tonight we are going to this party. I finally decided what I'm wearing I picked out a red crop racer top, black and cream stripe leggings, red studded pumps, a gold chain link necklace, gold triangle earrings, red lipstick, and my hair was curly. I walked out and seen Mimi, Sydney, and Kylie.
"Damn aye ma let me get yo number," Mimi said.
"I don't give my number out to hoes," I told her.
"b***h bye," Mimi said.
"Can y'all come on," Sydney said.
"Come on then," I said.
We go to the party. I grabbed Mimi and started dancing with her. Sydney grabbed Kylie. We was just having fun then Trey asked me to dance with him. We was dancing then a slow song came on. I put my arms around his neck and he his hands on my waist.
"You remember this?" He asked.
"Yea," I said.
"I asked you out," He said.
"Oh yes I remember," I said.
"I messed up didn't I?" He asked.
"It was both of our faults," I told him.
"After graduation I'm not going to see you anymore," He said.
"You never know after graduation and if we see each other again, it might be a sign that we need to be together," I said.
"After this we have one more week of school, prom, then our graduation. Nia will you go to prom with me?" He asked
I really didn't have a choice.
"Yes," I said.
He smiled which made me smile.
"What colors are we wearing?" He asked.
"White and black," I told him.
I have to say this is the best vacation ever.
1 week later.
"Yay we're back home!" Kylie yelled.
We laughed at her. The rest of the trip we went to Disneyland, we went to the beach, Kylie and Darren go together now, and all we did was chill. I got my luggage and seen my daddy and Gege, I ran up to them and hugged them.
"You acting like you haven't seen us in years," Gege said.
"Whatever, where is mama?" I asked.
"Nia while you was in L.A mama went told the hospital," Gege said.
"Well is she okay?" I asked.
"We don't know," Gege said.
"I want to go and see her," I said.
My mama can't die now. She's my best friend, she always makes me happy, she's been there for everything, I can tell her anything. We pull up to the hospital and I rush out of the car and run in the hospital.
"Excuse me but what is Penny Johnson room number?" I asked.
The b***h was still talking on the phone so I grabbed her phone and threw it.
"I'm going to ask you one more time what room number is Penny Johnson in?!" I yelled.
"In room 207," She said.
I go to room 207 and see Audrey holding my mama hand, she was awake. I walk in and sit on the end of the bed. She scooted over and told me to lay next to her.
"Nia...it's going to be ok" She said.
"Mommy what if y-" I was saying before she had cut me off.
"Nia never think negative always think positive," She said.
I smiled.
"If I don't survive Gege is going to live with your father, I don't want you to be depressed about me dying...I want you to go to college, go to prom, become a doctor like you told me what you wanted to become, I love you Nia," She said.
"I love you to mommy," I said.
Then the thing stopped beeping, I knew she was gone forever.
"It's going to be ok," Gege said.
We started crying, the doctor came out and told us she was gone forever. My best friend is gone. My daddy took us home, I got in the shower and put on my pajamas. I went in my mama room, it started raining. I put in a cd of us when we were younger and our parents was married, I was always happy as a child. Gege came in with snacks, tissue boxes, and envelopes in her hands.
"Here, mommy wanted us to read them," She said.
I opened the letter and began reading it.
Dear my older daughter,
Stop crying my little ray of sunshine. I know God has taken me away from you and Gege but I will always be with you two. I want you to always be happy, have kids, have a husband, have a family. I know you will have these goals in future life. I will always love you my little ray of sunshine.
