I continued anyway, even when my voice trembled.
“You brought that girl… Classara or whatever her name was, said she’s the Alpha’s daughter.” I stopped to breathe before the lump in my throat choked me.
“I understand she was injured and I-I saved her. But why was she all over you yesterday, Finnian? Why were you smiling at her and giving me the cold shoulder?”
My words cracked. The tears that had been burning behind my eyes pushed harder.
