FINNIAN I later came to see Elsa. She had finally calmed down, and for the first time in hours, I saw a faint smile on her lips. When Eve walked in, Elsa practically threw herself into her arms. Her laughter was small, but it was there... soft, tired, and real. I hoped she’d find happiness too. She deserved that much. Daze stayed by the door, pretending not to care, though his eyes lingered on her every move. I didn’t push him anymore. The bond between them was his battle, not mine.
