Broken and recovering

Lisa's pov

As I stood in front of the mirror admiring myself I couldn't help but lower my eyes to my stomach till now I couldn't believe I was carrying a little life inside of me, I silently cursed that bastard of a boyfriend I once thought was the love of my life.. blinking back my tears I touched my make-up once more as I headed towards my mother's room I was going to check if she was done preparing as it was getting late I knocked on the door of my parents hotel suite and after some second the door opened and my mother appeared in site

"hey mom are you done come on let's go" huh yes dear oh wow you look beautiful,

Thanks mom "so do you"now where is Dad we gotta go

Don't worry about him he's already gone with your uncle he wanted to make sure that everything was okay with the groomsmen.

We both laughed as we both knew that Dad was only making an excuse to get a few drinks as he always said that "a little wine doesn't hurt"

After what seemed like forever the wedding was over and we were now on a plan heading back home, this time around mom was seated next to me though I could see that she was tired she continued chatting with me gisting about what happened at the wedding after what seemed like forever I was in the comfort zone of my bed we arrived a few minutes ago and all i wanted was to get a good sleep I was tired and had jet legs I slept through out the entire afternoon and night

When I woke up in the morning I was so hungry I headed straight to the kitchen I saw my mom had already prepared some food as I was eating I looked out through the glass doors of the kitchen heading to the back yard of the house were there was also a garden I saw my mom seated there alone.

Something was definitely wrong with her I can tell and by the looks of it now I knew I was right.

Approaching the garden I sat on the swing by her side hey I said

Hey " when did you wake up"

Awhile ago,is something wrong mom

Oh No baby nothing is wrong I'm just tired from the flight

" Alright " so I am planning on telling Jonathan about my pregnancy

"Do the right thing my love"

I looked at my mom confused she didn't seem interested in the conversation like she always do I signed softly see you later I'm going to prepare and meet up with him.

As I walked to my room I couldn't help but think that my mother was hiding something from me, the only person I trusted and confided in was maybe disappointed in me.

I picked up my phone and asked Jonathan to meet me after that I went and took a shower put on some light makeup after I was satisfied with the way I look I took my phone and put it the the back pocket of my jeans.

That evening I met up with Jonathan I was very nervous as I awaited his arrival after what seem like forever I saw a familiar figure walking up to me I looked in the direction and indeed it was him my heart skipped a beat as he approached our table I had already ordered him an Expresso his favorite and a hot chocolate for myself.

He kissed me on the forehead and flashed me one of his beautiful smiles I was blushing like a fool God I was dying inside.

"Hey 'I said to him

Hi he responded is everything okay ?

Yeah I'm fine "so I wanted to tell you something am not sure how you will take it "

He only but smiles at me and said let's hear it

My heart was racing " I ...I ..I.., I am pregnant I as I breathed out a breath I didn't know I was holding back

"What"

Am so sorry I wanted to tell you , I just didn't know how to tell you

So you cheated on me ? " God No I would never do that"

So who is the father where is he?

By this time tears were already falling down my face; he left me I said as I looked down his name is Tedd. I could see the resentment he gave me this was all my fault for believing he would understand I mean who would accept someone's responsibility what was I expecting from a guy I barely knew. Then he broke the silence

"I loved you Lisa I still love you but I can never take someone's responsibility" I have to go without looking back he left me heartbroken once more... I composed myself and took a cab going home when I entered I couldn't help but burst in to tears, I cried as if someone died well indeed I died in Jonathan's heart I don't exist in his heart anymore.

Jonathan's pov

My name is Jonathan Jackson I am an intern at an international company I have big dreams I want to reach a level none of my family members has, my family has always had financial problems especially when my father died my mom could hardly manage the house hold expenses I survived through scholarship.. a month ago my mother and sister encouraged me to start dating but I was too busy to starting looking for a girl; so my sister Michelle signed me up on a dating site, at first I thought it was ridiculous but as I was scrawling through each photo of people on the website one night I Saw this beautiful girl her name was Lisa Watson I was immediately captivated by her beauty..

From there onwards we started dating and everything was going well the other night I thought we should take our relationship serious but she pushed me and ran off I thought it was my fault though I wanted to meet her but she suggested we meet after she came back from the wedding.And now here I am walking back home with a brokenheart I can't believe My Lisa was carrying someone's child all this while and I didn't even see the red flags am so stupid.

Lisa's POV

It's been two weeks since Jonathan and I broke up, I was standing in front of the mirror looking at my outfit I was to wear for the day.

School has resumed and a lot of my friends are going "the first day of college is the best so they say" and here I am going for a check up at the hospital we gotta to make sure my baby is fine.

I walked out of my room to meet my mother she looked different it was my fault for neglecting her those past weeks she now looked fragile, I wondered why because no matter how I asked she would never tell me.

Am ready shall we go?

Yes come on she said wearing a hat on her head

Mom why are you putting on that

"Nothing fashion"

Really:

Yeah 😂 she said brushing me off

"Okay"

We got to the hospital and a nurse welcomed us I already made an appointment so we didn't have to wait as she directed me to where I can find my doctor as I was busy talking with the doctor he suggested we go for scanning which we did ,my mom excused herself and went out the room my baby was healthy the doctor asked if I wanted to know the gender but I refused..I will know when I give birth I said to him.

"Okay we are done today come back again at the given date". he said to me as I went to change back into my clothes cause I was wearing a hospital gown.

Just then I noticed mom has been gone for a long time I walk Into the hallway to look for her and saw her talking to a doctor.

Is everything okay mom? Yes baby everything is okay,is my grand baby fine ?

"Let's go home am tired and hungry I said?

*Sure*

Sighing I looked out the window everything was going to be fine.
