I entered Kathleen's hospital room to find Kenneth asleep by her side. I walked softly to her side and planted a kiss on her forehead. Tomorrow is the day she gets out of her induced coma and tonight is the day James comes back from wherever he's been for the last few years. I just hope to be back here when Kathleen wakes up.
Kenneth woke up looking confused. The both of us have been taking shifts staying beside her day and night. Her friends too would pop up from time to time. It brought us closer and he realized that I loved Kathleen just as much as he did and he stopped hating me. I hope Kathleen doesn't hate me when she wakes up.
