I'm not the type of person to hate people before I know them but I hated Gordon once I was introduced to him. He seemed like an upright guy and casual kind of guy but he was trying too hard to seem normal and okay, yet it was clear he didn't approve of me being with Kathleen. I also hate his timing of disrupting our conversation. I was ready to come clean about everything to Kathleen and there he was. And I could see the dirty looks he gave me every time I put my hands around Kathleen or even the slightest gesture of affection. I would have told her there was something wrong with the guy but it would have me coming off as insecure or jealous, so I ignored it making a mental note to talk to him about it when we were alone, man to man.
