"Gordon, what are you doing here?" I asked confused.
"You know her?" Ruth asked Gordon casually.
"Yes, I do. She's the reason I'm here, I wanted to be there to support her." He said coming towards me. He tried to hug me but I took a step back.
"Could you follow me outside please?" I said trying to seem calm and collected.
"You don't have to go if you don't want to Gordon," Ruth said trying to get him to stay.
He looked at her and smiled, "Don't worry. I'll talk with her and I'll be back." He said casually as if he didn't just pop up at a memorial.
"What are you doing here?" I asked him once we were outside.
"Like I said Kat I'm here to support you during this tough time." He said pulling me into a hug and my hands just hung by my side.
