Josh and Dustin opened fire and to their surprise their weapons reverted back to normal. They weren’t sure how or why, but they were thankful for this. Maybe the weapons protected the user, it was impossible to know. They were able to provide effective protection for the other three. Cody flew ahead of them once they got behind the shore line. Flying as fast as they were, it would be impossible for the defenses to turn around and be effective.
“We aren’t too far away from the capital, so let’s go get my house back,” Cody said and increased his speed, the others followed.
Within just a few minutes they were over Washington D.C. They didn’t know how fast they were going but it was cloudy, the only way they knew they were over the city was that their sensors were telling them.
