"Welcome to your displacement in time, Commander," Bob said and was leaning against a tree, the light blinded Cody's eyes for a second, but everything became in focus and easier to see. He was not where he was before that much was clear.
"Welcome to Delta Squad, the first version of your team that is,” Bob said as Cody looked around.
“Ah, I just think the new things of the world are always the best. New weapons, code names and all that good stuff. Your mission is simple, Commander. These men are yours, lead them well. Do a good job is all I ask," Bob said to him and disappeared.
Cody had on the blue uniform of the Union soldier, two silver guns at his side. He wore a black hat. "Great," he said to himself.
