Getting to the inner chamber of the base was easy from then on. All they had to do was follow the thickening trail of blood through the broken doors. The level of destruction and ruination increased as they walked forward. Dan, Josh and Cody were barely fazed by it. Joey and Kelly on the other hand could barely hold themselves together due to the smell alone.
“This must be it,” Cody said as they approached the last door that was still in working order. “This place is weird,” Josh replied. He didn’t understand the layout or purpose of this place. It just seemed to be a realm of nightmares each being worse than the last.
Dan was annoyed and pushed the button to make the door open.
The last door slid open without trouble and it was now no mystery as to where everyone had ended up.
