Will was desperately trying to activate the controls to shut the door, but nothing seemed to work. The portal just kept opening wider and more flames kept spewing out, hideous voices and screams mixed with the fire. Joey and his friends were tough, but still they were only kids and they were not ready for anything like this, the constant shrieking from beyond was far too much and it was making them sick to just listen to it all.
They were huddled in the corner, doing their best to try and block it. It wasn‘t working though. The Squad came through the door and saw Will there, they were surprised but just accepted it for now, it was amazing the things you could accept at a moment’s notice in a crisis.
"I can't shut it down. I don't know how this works! Guys. Get over here and help me!"
