Ralph was in his hotel room when he heard a knock on the door. He knew it was the Hamilton County Sheriffs Department come to arrest him. He had to think quickly if he wanted to get away. He decided the fastest and best way to escape was to jump out the window. It was a cold winter night in December 1935 and the air was freezing. Ralph was wearing nothing but the clothes on his back and he shivered as he jumped out the window. He hit the pavement hard but he was on the run. He had to get away from the law or he would face the consequences for his actions. Ralph made a run for it, dodging law enforcement as he ran. He darted down alleys and through back streets, looking for a place to hide. But everywhere he went people were on the lookout for him. Eventually Ralph was able to find a place to lay low until morning. He was cold and scared but at least he was safe and the law was still looking for him. Ralph knew that life on the run wasn't going to be easy. But he also knew that there was no going back. He was going to have to fight to stay one step ahead of the law if he wanted to stay free. That December night, Ralph jumped out of the window into the cold night and it changed the course of his life forever. He was on his own now, a wanted man with nowhere to hide, and the only way he could survive was to stay one step ahead of the law.
