Friday wasn't specifically one of the best day's.Employees at the Petrova Empire was at least grateful it was a Friday, most of them have been working extra time to be able to get a deal on the urban projects the government recently gave authority to,out it couldn't be possible with Kensington industries, they had what Petrova Empire didn't have and they both knew that signing a contract with the government will be beneficial to them, many things were at stakes here and they had to come together to realize such.

Anya’s pov's
Over at the West part of the city, the Kensington industries CEO office occupied the entire top floor of the sleek, modern skyscraper, its floor-to-ceiling windows offering a breathtaking 360-degree view of the city. The room was filled with a warm, golden light that seemed to dance across the polished marble floor.
A sleek, minimalist desk made of rich, dark wood dominated the center of the room, behind which stood a high-backed, black leather chair. The walls were adorned with elegant, modern artwork, while a small, lush greenery area added a touch of natural serenity to the space.
To one side of the room, a comfortable, cream-colored sofa and matching armchairs were arranged around a low, glass coffee table, creating a cozy, intimate area for informal meetings or relaxation.
The overall atmosphere of the office was one of refined, understated luxury, exuding an aura of power, sophistication, and success.I took my time to take in and admire the interior of the office, noting I am not the only one that cares about comfortability.
Sitting across from the formidable figure of Mr. Alistair, the CEO of the rival company, Kensington Industries. The tension in the air was palpable. For years, the two companies had been locked in a fierce battle for market dominance. Now, I was forced to seek an alliance, a humbling experience for me that I have been accustomed to leading.
"Miss Petrova," Mr. Alistair began, his voice a low rumble, "I must admit, I'm impressed. You've proven yourself to be a formidable force in the business world."
I smiled politely, my expression masking my inner turmoil. I knew this was a delicate dance, a game of strategy and diplomacy. "Mr. Alistair, I believe that our two companies can achieve great things together, we have been rivals for a long time and I believe it's time to put an end to it.
So what are you suggesting, miss Petrova.
I suggest we come together and form an alliance. By combining our resources and expertise, we can create a powerful synergy."
Mr. Alistair leaned forward, his eyes glinting with a mischievous light. "I agree, Miss Petrova. However, there's one small favor I'd like to ask."
Anya's heart pounded. She knew that nothing came for free, especially in the world of business. "What is it, Mr. Alistair?" she asked, her voice steady.
"I'd like you to attend the annual Masquerade Ball hosted by the Kensington family," he replied. "It's a prestigious event, and your presence would be a great honor."
Anya hesitated. She wasn't one for social gatherings, preferring the solitude of her office and a cup of tea while reading a book. But she knew that this was a strategic move. By attending the ball, she could strengthen her alliance with Mr. Alistair and gain valuable insights into the workings of Kensington Industries.
"Very well," she agreed, her voice firm. "I shall attend."
As I left the meeting, I couldn't shake the feeling that there was more to Mr. Alistair's request then met the eye. Whatever game he is planning, we will see who is going to come out victorious. I still can't comprehend why the rivalry between Petrova Empire and Kensington industries,to make things complicated we both weren't engaged in similar things, but we need each other,I think I will have to speak to Mr Davidson as soon as possible After all, the future of the Petrova Empire depended on it.

Let's head over to the orphanage home.
As the sun dappled through the stained-glass windows of the orphanage, casting a warm glow on the faces of the children. Anya stood amidst the cheerful chaos, her heart heavy with a newfound sense of purpose. She had come to this place, a sanctuary for the lost and the lonely, seeking a piece of her heart to fill the void within her.
A young girl with curly hair and bright eyes approached her. “Good day, Miss. Is there anyone you came to see?” she asked, her voice as sweet as honey.
“Hello, little princess,” Anya replied, her voice gentle. “I’m here to meet the director. Would you mind showing me the way?”
Okaymiss,just follow me.
What's your name dear?
My name is Sophia
The girl, whose name was Sophia, led Anya through the corridors of the orphanage, her infectious laughter echoing in the quiet halls. Anya couldn’t help but smile. She was reminded of her own childhood, a time of innocence and wonder.
“You want to adopt a child, Miss?,” the director explained, her voice filled with compassion.
Yes I want to adopt a child.
Okay, you can adopt one, just go around and look at the kids.
There is no need for that
Anya’s heart skipped a beat. The idea of having a child had always been a distant dream, It wasn't as if she wouldn't want to have her but she loved kids. But now, it seemed within reach.
“I’d like to adopt Sophia,” Anya declared, her voice steady.
“But, Miss, Sophia has a twin brother,” the director added.
Anya didn’t hesitate. “I’ll take both of them,” she said, her decision final.
You can bring the document and let me sign, but nobody should get hold of this information no matter what.
Miss we stick strictly to the confidential policy,so be rest assured that their information is safe.
Sophia and her brother, Stephen, were overjoyed at the prospect of a new family. They packed their belongings with excitement, eager to embark on this new chapter of their lives.
Anya arranged for a private car to take them to the mansion. As they drove through the city, she couldn’t help but feel a sense of responsibility. She was taking on the role of a mother, a protector, a guide.
So Sophia and Stephen, I am your mom, I promise to take care of you from now onwards,if you need anything just tell me. Let's head home.
Call in elder James to arrange a room, but firstly let make a stop at the salon
When they arrived at the mansion, Anya had prepared a room for the children. She had also arranged for a personal tutor and a nanny to care for them.
Miss Anya, whose kids are those?Elder James asked with curiosity laced in his voice.
They are my kids. I grinned
Your kids??? Elder James asked with shocked expression
Don't get me wrong,I adopted them as my kids.
Oow I was just surprised, why did you adopt them if I may ask?
I love kids and this house felt so lonely, since I had the means to why I didn't adopt them.
You came up with adoption but you didn't think about your relationship status, with respect miss is time for you to get into a relationship.
Old man,you are making this a case just enjoy the children giggling, when love calls I will be there to answer.
As the children explored their new surroundings, Anya felt a sense of fulfillment. She had found a way to fill the void in her heart, to give love and receive love in return.
Stephen had a cold personality,he just loved to be on his own and also look out for his sister but Sophia was quite a contrast to her brother. She was bubbly and full of life, she didn't care as long as she was happy , nothing else mattered.
I made sure the doctor came over to check how healthy they were and if they needed anything, planned their meal schedule and also called in different school to get them admitted it was tough at first seems it was already the middle of the term but she drew some strings.Next she had to head to the attorneys office
to sign the shares documents and legally change their names.
