Chapter 7: The Engagement

Nathan POV

It's been almost month since I met Zelda, we spent all our weekends together. I won't lie I really enjoy her company and the s*x, gosh this girl will be the death of me one day. The way she is so nice and caring, I can see us married with kids. I bet they will be as beautiful and smart as she is. That thought really brought a warm feeling in my heart, and couldn't wait to see her tonight. I took my phone and sent her a text:

Zelda: Hey Baby missed you too. I can't even concentrate.

I called my secretary to help me arrange a small party for 20 people tonight in one of the most romantic restaurants in town, I sent her the list of people to invite. She called me after 2 pm and gave me the details and told me all was done and everything will be ready for 7 pm.

I turned on my phone to find 5 messages from my Lilly and 10 voicemails. I knew she would be angry, that is why I was organizing the party for her. I called her, apologized and told her the meeting took long and I decided to drive home since my phone was dead and I was tipsy. I could hear her anger over the phone. I told her I will make it up tonight by taking her to her favorite place. She did not agree easily, I had to persuade her.

Seven in the evening I went to fetch Lilly, and gosh she was hot as hell in that red cocktail dress. It made her curves pop and I could not take my eyes of her. When we arrived at the restaurant, and she spotted faces she knew, she became jubilant to see our close friends and parents. My best friend Ethan was also there with her girlfriend.

The night went well, everyone including my Lilly was happy. Before the dessert I stood up and asked for everyone's attention. I then went on one knee in front of Lilly and asked her to marry me. If only you could see her face, she was really surprised. She did not expect me to propose today. She was officially my fiancée and it made me happy. I have been planning to propose to her since 4 months ago. Because she travels a lot, she made it hard for me to plan to do it. That is why I had arranged for the coming Thursday. She even thought I was avoiding her because I was planning this surprise. Now all I have to do is keep the two of them from meeting, which will be very easy. Lilly travels a lot and Zelda, god knows where she works, but I’m sure it’s a small company office job which will make it impossible for them to meet.
