I woke up to the sun beaming down on my face. Damn, I forgot to shut the blinds last night before bed. I sat up in bed and threw my legs over the side of the bed, standing up, my feet sinking into the soft, plush white carpet. I walked into the bathroom and over to the toilet to relieve myself. I stood up after I was finished.
Flushing the toilet, I walked to the sink to wash my hands. I grabbed my toothbrush and toothpaste after washing my hands. As I was brushing my teeth, I had to get rid of this horrible morning breath, I thought.
While walking out of the bathroom, I heard Arielle groaning under the blankets that topped the bed. It sounded like she was waking up. I stopped at the end of the bed, pulling the comforter so that Arielle was no longer covered.
I chose that moment to walk to the top of my bed and grab a pillow. Thank god, I’m on this side of the bed. If not, I will more than likely get hit in the head for what I’m going to do. I pulled the pillow high over my head, bringing it downwards and smacking Arielle in the head with the pillow until she hurled herself at me, trying to grab the pillow.
“I hate you,” Arielle mumbles under her breath, loud enough for me to hear as she drags herself out of bed and walks over to the bathroom. I laughed, holding my stomach, seeing how her hair was going in different directions. "Let's go get breakfast," I yelled at Arielle was in the bathroom as I headed over to my closet. I grabbed some dark wash blue jeans, a white crop top, and a pair of white lace panties. In the same moment that I was walking out of the closet, Arielle was walking out of the bathroom with her towel tightly draped around her body and steam billowing out from behind her head.
"Where do you want to go for breakfast?" I heard her ask as I got into the bathroom. I set my stuff on the counter, walked over to the door, and leaned myself on the frame. "You pick. I'm going to take a shower." I answered, stepping away from the doorframe and closing the door behind me. I walked over to the shower, turning it on and adjusting the temperature.
After stripping my pajamas off, I tossed them into the laundry basket in the corner of the room. I step into the shower, letting the hot water drip and soothe my body. I grab my rose body wash and scrub my entire body. I grabbed my rose shampoo and conditioner and started scrubbing my scalp clean. I rinse my body off under the hot water. I shut the shower off, grabbed my towel, started to dry my body off before wrapping the towel around me. I stepped out of the shower and grabbed the extra towel I had put on the counter to dry my hair.
I grabbed my body lotion and rubbed my entire body with it. "Hurry up! I need to do my hair and make-up!" She yells, banging on the bathroom door. I wrap the towel around my body again, storming to the door and swinging it open. I walked back to the counter and grabbed my clothes before walking out of the bathroom door over to my closet. I got inside the walk-in closet and closed the door, leaving it cracked so I could talk to Arielle while we got ready. I pull on my clothes, grabbing a pair of black flats and slipping them on.
"I'll be downstairs," we both say in unison, laughing. I grabbed my cell phone and purse and walked out of the bedroom. Arielle links her arm in mine as we walk out the front door of my penthouse towards the elevator. We made small talk while waiting for the elevator to arrive. “What club are we going to tonight?” I asked as soon as the elevator dinged and the doors opened. We walked inside the elevator and pushed the button for the garage floor.
We got into the garage, and the elevator doors opened wide. Stepping out of the elevator, we made our way over to my dad's Mercedes AMG G 63 Suv. "Damn, you keep this thing in excellent condition," Arielle hummed, admiring the beauty of my dad's car. "Dad loved this car, so I have to keep it in excellent condition." Arielle got into the SUV after I unlocked the doors, got in after her, started the car, thinking about all the times dad and I would get into this car and drive around, listening to music, and singing so off-key together. With a smile on my face, I hit the garage door opener, waiting for the garage to open before pulling out onto the main road.
We arrived at Little Dave's Cafe 20 minutes later. Traffic was terrible this morning. I groaned loudly, causing Arielle to turn her attention from the road towards me. I wanted some breakfast. We pulled into an empty parking space, put the car in park, shut off the engine, got out of the car, and I locked the door. We made our way inside the front doors of the cafe. The smell of coffee instantly hit us once we stepped foot in the door. I closed my eyes, inhaling deeply. I love the smell of coffee in the morning.
Big Dave was behind the counter taking orders from customers. I walked over to the counter with Arielle in tow. "Good morning Big Dave," I said, getting closer to him. "Go have a seat at the table. I'll bring it over to you both." He said before I could even give him our order. He already knows what we like, so it works out perfectly. We found the empty table he was pointing at and took our seats.
A few minutes later, Big Dave arrived with our order. He placed our food in front of us before leaving to tend to the other customers. "Where are we going tonight?" I asked, taking a bite of my turkey and bacon breakfast sandwich. "This is absolutely the best coffee!" I moaned while taking a sip of my sugary coffee.
"That is not even coffee. It's just sugar." Arielle smirks, talking s**t about my coffee. I stuck my tongue at her while giving her the finger. We sat there enjoying our breakfast, making small talk, when Big Dave walked over to the table. "How is everything, ladies?" he said, taking the empty seat next to Arielle.
"The best breakfast coffee. Ask Amelia." Arielle said, winking at me before plastering a big smile on her face and turning to Big Dave. He smiles and nods his head, knowing I love the food and coffee here. My dad helped Big Dave when he needed it, and it's what I'll continue to do. I helped Big Dave without him knowing it. I leave big tips for him and the staff every time I come here.
We finished our food, and Arielle paid the bill. "Did you leave a tip?" I asked as we walked away from the table. She nodded her head, letting me know she did. I took a hundred-dollar bill out of my purse and put it on the table so that way he had an extra tip. He is always going above and beyond to make sure his customers are happy and enjoying themselves.
"Have a great day, ladies!" Big Dave waved to us as we got closer to the door. We walked out of the cafe waving over our shoulders to Big Dave. I unlocked the doors as we got closer to the car. We got into the car and pulled out of the parking space.
We got on the main road when Arielle asked to go to the nail salon. I turned the music up loud and started singing loudly. Arielle started to sing along with me on the radio. We pulled into the nail salon parking lot and got out. Walking through the door of the salon, the employees greeted us.
"Good morning, ladies," the employees said together, causing Arielle and me to giggle. They do this every time we walk through the door.
We told the nail technician what we wanted to get done, so they had us sit down in separate cubicles. They started on our nails. I got matte black ballerina-shaped nails with the ring fingers a matte red color. Arielle got the same shape nails but in a red color, but instead of matte, she got gloss. We also got our toes done, I got my toes matte black, and Arielle got a glossy red.
After a few hours of getting our nails and toes done, I paid our bill, and we left the salon. "I'm hungry," Arielle says, turning down the radio. "Where do you want to get lunch at?" I said, turning down the street towards my building. "Let's order some food and have it sent to your place," Arielle said as we pulled into the parking garage of my building. I parked the car in the parking spot and got out. I locked the door and headed towards the elevator, smashing the button. "This elevator needs to hurry up. I have to pee!" I said, jumping up and down.
The elevator arrived with a ding. I pushed Arielle out of the way and quickly got in once the doors opened. Arielle started to chuckle, shaking her head and walking into the elevator after me. She pushed the button since I was too busy shifting side to side, holding in my pee. The elevator stopped with a jolt on the 25th floor. The doors opened, and I rushed out and practically ran to my front door, throwing it open. I rushed to the hall bathroom and sat on the toilet. I let out a big sign of relief, knowing I didn't have to hold it any longer.
I could hear Arielle laughing at me as I walked out of the bathroom hallway. I walked to the kitchen, where I knew she'd more than likely be. Yup, I was right. Arielle was in the kitchen, bent over, looking for something in the fridge for food. I crept up behind her and smacked her on the ass. She let out a shriek, hitting her head on the top of the fridge. I couldn't help but laugh at her. She turned around, facing me, rubbing the top of her head. She was mad. She turned back around towards the fridge and grabbed a bottle of water. She unscrewed the cap facing me again. It took me a split second to realize what she was about to do. I ran to the other side of the counter, using it to keep a distance from each other.
She started to chase me around the counter, barely missing me with the water. "Stay still, b***h" she yelled while laughing. "Never hoe," I replied, running towards the living room. She caught me at the last second and poured the remaining water on me. We both fell to the ground holding our stomachs laughing.
We finally caught our breath and just laid on the floor for a while longer. Our bellies decided to make the loudest sound ever. Making us fall back into a fit of laughter, getting up, we made our way to my room to change. She fits into my clothes, so she never brings her own change of clothes. She walks into my closet and grabs two pairs of sweatpants and two tops, throwing them at me. I wasn't paying attention to Arielle throwing the clothes at me until they landed on my clothes, covering the phone I had in my hand.
