Meeting Swan

652 Words
———— SWAN———— Swan hid in the shadows, she moved swiftly yet not even the rustle of the wind against her kimono was heard. She had strolled around this place up until she could wander anywhere with her eyes closed, or count the number of darkened tiles in the large castle, she still found pleasure being in the dark, there no one could find her... This kind of thing was a secret place that she belonged to, and only her. It had been over 15 years yet Swan would still dutifully make several rounds through the castle, even though she had a secret organization that guards the castle against the shadows. It wasn't as if she was forced to, far from it. It was a joy she found pleasure and solitude in. By moving blind, she trained herself in the dark, how to be an Assassin, and taught a selected few the art. Swan still remembered Gipsy's ludicrous face when she had decisively demanded to continue this routine. Then, after several circles, The Queen had finally accepted, after making her promise to have some fun while at it. Her face blushed bright red as she remembered this, in plain terms, the Queen was hinting her to peek at the bathrooms whenever she pleases, and according to her, it will increase the 'thrill ' in being secretive. "Stupid, Stupid!!" Swan pouted with a cute face hidden under a mask. If anyone saw her now, they'll have this uncontrollable desire to pinch her fatty cheeks and say words of encouragement, but Alas, even when the Face wasn't hidden under the Mask withdrawing of a Swan; it was carefully blanketed under series of undercover stuff. Such is the life of one living in the shadows. "The moon... It's pretty!!" Standing next to an extra-large glass window — to match with the even more gigantic Castle, — Swan stared happily at the Blue Moon with a peaceful composure and serenity. The cloudless darkened sky seems to place further vehemence on the moon. Everything was perfect as she would have wanted it then, except for one important factor... "Tch, Why should the dragons appear now if all times after ten thousand years, I don't understand. and he was Strong, I haven't felt such kind of pressure from all the master of the Human Realm joined together. Just a wave of his palms and we were all defeated. I wonder..." Swan held her side, it had already healed to a considerable length, yet the prove of battle was still evident. If it was a normal cut with a blade, her powers could heal it in just seconds. But against the almighty dragons, she was suppressed till even her innate healing powers activated slowly. "Truly a shame. Just one more round and am done with today's assignment." Swan took one last look at the moon, one wasn't sure what she meant, was it about the Azure Dragon or something else... like the Power currently being absorbed by Grand Elder, Gipsy. But this much was left for thought, she skipped with light toes and suddenly submerged with the shadows. Few minutes passed as Swan skimmed through the Castle. She let out a yawn and planned to proceed to bed before suddenly hearing a faint ' Dong! ' sound like a clash of pots. 'It couldn't be, when was there a ruse for an early morning occasion. Why is there cooking coming from the Outer Castle's region?" The fact was, Swan had heard multiple sounds of different volumes reverberating from the Kitchen, but because of that thought, she had almost zero interest in checking it out. But it was weird that up till now there wasn't a bit of conversation going on, only gurgling sounds and banging of pots... And crunching and opening of racks "Could it be!!!" ‘Yep, there's a food thief’ ..
