'This is the only thing I've ever wanted..... To live life and enjoy everything it brings with it; Happiness, pain-- Love, Hate -- Selflessness, Greed. I want to live, not to be' Beginning of Gyrfalcon's Am bored Dairy. Up North; transversing through the bone-chilling cold, canyons of fiery red hot magma could be seen bubbling out of active lava mountains almost as high as the lazing cloud, some even piercing through like sharp swords, making them stand out sorely in this unique clear white scenery. Unperturbed by all of this, a large castle sat tall in the middle, its grandeur left everyone in awe; stretching as high as 600 feet, and large as 10,000 cubic meters, it was furnished rare stones, and exotic materials, causing it to glitter, blinding everyone that saw it from 50 km radius. Passing out to the Castle's peripheral— trees, flowers, and several steaming ponds with homely bowers dotted the scene, earning that medley with nature. However, contrary to it's ornamental sparkle, the Castle was draped with a dark-lonely serene atmosphere. All round the clock, there was only emptiness, and still. As if no one has lived there for centuries. Only occasional would one hear the tapping of feet against tiles, or hushed mutterings. This would be one of those times... The Castle's private meeting room. “My Liege, everything is set already, we require your avowal! There’s no need to have that deep frown.” “Oho, Klaus… You going behind me to secretly make all these preparations can already be considered as treason, enough to take your head this instant, and yet you still have the guts to blatantly request for my approval, how bold!” “Young supreme lord, your Uncle isn’t at fault. All he's been doing was for you to acknowledge him! He should be rewarded instead.” ‘Isn't he a little bit on the older side? who the eff believes your ramblings?’ In the hall right now, five individuals sat on grand seats, each of the seats was distinct from the rest in color, shape. A young handsome young man took the lead seat as the lord of the house. The other four were all dignified individuals with unique wraps and a unique aura around them. The one in the Lead seat was a youth of no more than 24. He was handsome, terrifyingly so. He bordered on what any man would call pretty, making him look like a gigolo. He had sleek full eyebrows and a smooth clean face that was somewhat hidden under his slickly Azure hair. With a straight pointed nose, sharp blue eyes, full red lips, and smooth jawline, he looked all like a girl except for his growing deep voice and well-groomed mustache. This is the Young Supreme leader of the abominable dragons, Gyrfalcon from the royal family Kinsey Lai!....... Sub name Rudeus A middle-aged man in his late forties pushed a luminous object to the Young, man in the throne seat. The middle-aged man had steaks of gray hair on his albeit full deep-red head, with well-defined jawlines and thick eyebrows and seemed to hide the sharpness of his eyes, added to that, well-defined muscles hid underneath the furry coat he draped over his torso... they bulged with every breath he took. “Please, Young Rudeus, see the yield of our labor these last years! We have successfully gathered all the precious materials needed for opening the passage to the mortal realm, Ha Ha……. Once we finish all preparations, Whatever happens next is left to anyone's imagination! All for you, my Liege” ‘Isn't he a little bit on the older side? who the eff believes your ramblings? I feel irritated’ “Uncle, we are in the throne room, all forms of informality would be frowned upon” ‘Now you're getting on my nerves, how dare you call me Young, Rudeus!? Am King for crying out loud!’ “Besides, the Previous Supreme lord, my Imperial Father, strictly told us not to meddle with Void Stone, and I reinstated this. So why exactly did you choose now of all time to bring this up ” Rudeus asked with a lazy scowl. Klaus was a hot-bloodied individual, no doubt. Rudeus recalled the feud the man had with the previous emperor, his father— who happened to be Klaus senior brother. Stretching for a century, more or less, fights broke out whether openly or secretly. Most Officails took sides and brandish the other as evil. The supreme lord of that time, his Grandfather, encouraged a family-friendly competition for the throne. This was graded by both the individual strength of the Prince, and the powerhouses he could bring under his wing to determine whether one was more capable of winning the hearts of the fellow dragons, and—becoming king—than the other…. And his father, the first son, had won the throne. Almost 800 years later, the new vibrant King had become weary, and on his death bed, had passed on the Crown to him amidst protest from the citizens because of his incapability as a child then. Not that he was any older now, although by the human standard he would be a full-grown man of about 60 years, in the eyes of this old hermits, he was still a pup, barely even enough to have hairs in clothed places, not to talk of taking on this heavy burden. Dragons lived longer than any species in the universe; followed by Elves, Bone people, Legendary Beasts, and Spirits. But although dragons did have a great advantage with their strong vitality, unbeknownst to others, there was also one great problem that acted as shackles to them……. Their Maturity!! The same way they grow slowly, their development also grows alongside them. Rudeus was old!! but in truth he was just a brat of about 24 years old by human standard, probably even less, The slow bodily development was a strong deterrence to all dragons. Dragons grew stronger the Older they got. Back to the present. His uncle Klaus proposed an extremely risky deal. The Officials and Retainers Rudeus had all supported Klaus decision. Though that wasn't a surprise for Rudeus. None of them held him in high regard, they instead boot licked his uncle when the chance dropped in on them. “Take it as a surprise, your Lordship. it was supposed to be gifted as your 250th birthday present. Just think of it then, you standing tall as Mount Pian with access to the whole realm in your hands” ‘*sigh* I've long been tired of this politics. No one has me in their eyes’ While Klaus scratched the back of his head in shame... His pretense looked foolish at this point. Anyone could see the hidden hatred and envy in his eyes. At least Rudeus could. The other four had varying expressions on their faces. Pitiful, docile, friendly. Underneath the surface then, there existed the dirtiest virtues of living beings. These were his trusted advisers. A pity how greed turned all dragons green. Rare stones on all their fingers. Conclusive stories of the women they've 'conquered’. Deals they made under the table... “Scums!” Rudeus cursed under his breath. They had always been using him, and he knew it. Among the list of stuff that he could not alter but wished he could, this situation would top it. He thought back to the stories he read in boredom about wicked aunts enslaving their nieces… or was it stepmothers tyrannizing stepdaughters? It was so long that he could not remember much from the fantasy novel ‘Ariendella’ except the main character — the Glass Boot Lady— she died pathetically in the end… ‘What a sob story!’ he thought then. Before his father died, crossing over to reincarnation or where ever souls go to. Then his mother bailed on him. She left him alone in this freaking world!. ‘Do you know how scary it is to be alone? All alone? These wolves, they all want a part of my treasure... And they'll give soon!’
