Some Harsh Truths

Alex POV

I awake in the morning with my head on my mate's chest. I hear raised voices outside our bedroom door. I go to get out of bed.

“It's too early,” Nick groans.

“As much as I want to stay here in bed with you, there's quite a commotion outside of our bedroom door.” I tried to get out of Nick’s arms.

“Okay, okay, I'll let you up,” Nick grumbles and lets me go.

I rush to the closet to grab some clothes to put on and head out the door. What I saw next was heartbreaking as a mother. I see five of my children ganging up on this little omega.

“What are you thinking? Why are my coloured shirts on the wrong side of my closet.” Alicia my primadonna tells the girl.

“Why haven't you brought Hope and my breakfast?” Lex my sensible Lex calls out to her.

“Michelle I need hot towels.” Mira needs hot towels for her face.

“Good goddess do I need to press my own blouse.” Gigi scoffs. “Hurry Michelle.”

“Can you do anything right? This coffee tastes like shit.” Samantha spits the coffee across the room at her.

My daughter just spat hot coffee in this poor girl's face. The five of them were starting to corner her. By now Nick is at my side. This girl was terrified I could not believe I just saw Samantha spit hot coffee in Michelle’s face.

As my anger rose, so did the wind and rain outside. “Enough,” I yelled at my five children and rushed to the omega that my children had verbally and physically assaulted. “Michelle dear are you okay?” I mean the girl had hot coffee spat in her face. I link one of the warriors. “Take Michelle to the hospital and get her checked out please Micheal,” I tell the warrior. “Michelle you will be okay and I promise you my children will never do that to you again. You will have the rest of the week off with pay and not just yours; you will also get my children's allowance for the next two weeks.” I hear my children groan as I nod to Michael to take her away.

The storm is furious outside and also in my head. I wait for Michael and Michelle to be out of sight before I speak to my children. One of the girls goes to complain but stops when they see my eyes are all colours. Now I smell their fear. “Just when I thought things with my children couldn't get worse.” Jake comes out of his room to see what's going on. “I have never been so disappointed in all of my children as I have been the past two days. Yesterday it was Jake now, I can't believe it. Now The five of you; the five that are supposed to rule all people. Who are supposed to be the best of all of us; BULLYING A DEFENCELESS GIRL.” I was irate. After all these years I still can not seem to stop the hurricane when I'm angry.

“But Daddy.” Alicia draws out Daddy.

Now I notice the lightning strikes coming from the sky. I can not make lightning like that. “Alicia do not give me that sweet and innocent act I heard and saw what happened and I agree with your mother. You are all supposed to be leaders, these are supposed to be your people. You treat that poor girl like a slave what is the matter with all of you?” Nick was almost quiet which after all these years I know he's extremely pissed.

“I don't know why you two are making such a fuss this is all ours someday and they will all bow to us anyway.” Samantha rolls her eyes.

“Samantha,” Jake yells. At least he understands how to treat people and to lead.

“You do know your father and I are immortal we don't have to give up anything. You are entitled to nothing. You are not fit to rule these people. Our people.” I point between Nick and I. “I cannot believe this my children; my children have zero compassion and believe they are better than everyone. Leading is not about being better than your people it's about understanding the needs of your people; you serve them not the other way around.” I still can not believe these are my children. I look at the girls it seems like they don't care but Lex understands the severity of what happened.

“You are right Mom I apologize to you and Dad and I will go personally visit Michelle and apologize to her.” Lex bows to myself and Nick.

“Good gods and goddesses Lex she's an omega she's not even important.” Alicia scoffed, and Samantha nodded at everything she was saying. My other two girls step back and bow to me and Nick as they know what is about to happen.

I look out at the garage that we had built when the kids got their driver's licenses. Nick sends a bolt of lightning through it and pretty much blows up all of their cars. Nick's eyes are all lit up. The lightning raged in them.

Between the lightning and the storm, it has triggered a mass of people now in our hallway.

“You know you are going to buy us new ones.” Alicia snaps and I see all the girls smirk.

By this time even Zeus and Helios had come down from the heavens. I have the fire of Hades in me now.

I look at my grandmothers, my great-grandfather and my father-in-law. “I Alexia Rossi Queen of all realms hear by strip you of your titles as Crown Prince and Crown Princess as of this moment forward you hold no rank or title. I also strip you of your power of the sky. I take all gifts that have been bestowed on you by my great grandfather Helios the sun god, my great great aunt Selene and my great great aunt Eos they will be gone until you EARN them back. I also order after today the five of you will report to the academy for training for a minimum of one year. After your time at the Academy is complete you will go to all kingdoms and see how your people live. Not in your cousin's or brothers' castles but with the people.” I announce my children gasp.

“Mom you can't do that,” Samantha screams. It seems the other three have accepted their fate except for the ‘twins of the quince’ they think they are getting away with this.

“Daddy won't let you neither will our grandfathers.” Alicia snarls at me.

That sets off my Demigod. “I Nico Luca Rossi Demigod and King of all realms strip the five of you of title and rank. I also strip you of your Demigod status and you will have none of the powers of Olympus until such time you have been deemed worthy to have earned them back.” Nick commanded looking at Zeus.

Zeus and Helios nodded to Nick and me. With that, the two gods rotated their hands and took all of the quince powers. It’s almost like you can see their powers being sucked from them.

“Now after you leave tomorrow for the academy no one will even know who you all are. As soon as you walk outside the gates a masking spell will fall on all five of you. The only people who will know who you are is us. Your grandma Lily has perfected a masking spell so strong even your own mates will not know what you truly look like. It will even mask your auras. The only time you will be able to show yourselves is if the moon goddess sees it fit.” I'm still in shock my children would treat people like this.

The five of my children looked at all of us in shock as they have now lost their rank and status. The girls went to speak but Jake cut them off trying to save his siblings from more punishment. “I think you all better go pack before you say something that you can't take back.”

“Of course, you take Mom's side Jake let's face it you and Lex have always been her favourites.” Samantha rolls her eyes at Jake and that pains me that my daughter would think that.

“No, we just listen more and Mom is right we all did a bad thing and we deserve the punishment Mom and Dad gave us. I will use this opportunity to become a better person and leader.” Lex trying to get through to two of his sisters.

“We are now nobodies thanks, Mom.” Alicia huff. “Sorry, we can't be perfect like your precious boys.”

All I can do is shake my head. “Do you really think I care more about your brothers than I do the four of you?”

Gigi and Mira shake their heads but not my other two. “Please Mom you know you do, I mean Jake has it better than Lex,” Samantha said.

“You know why sis Dad was only an afterthought I mean she really wanted Stephan you know Jake’s actual dad. Daddy was Mom’s consolation prize.” Alicia yelled at her sisters. The girls know that Stephan was a horrible wolf but they don't know the whole story of what he did to me.

My heart is being pulled from my chest. It hurts to have your daughters think that of you. I just look at Nick he can see the tears in my eyes. He goes to reach for me but I just create a portal and get out of there.

Nick POV

I listen to the girls go on about how they are better and how the boys are Alex’s favourite. But when they went on about Alex wanting Stephan I started seeing red. I know Jake is the only one that knows the whole story but still, they know enough to know that was uncalled for. I go to reach for Alex I can see the tears and I feel Alex's pain. She just portals out of there. This is my fault I have always spoiled my girls, what father doesn't. I could see a smirk on Alicia and Samantha’s faces. Jake was about to go aboard them but I held my hand up; he stopped. Thunder clasp so loud the house shakes. The smiles are now off the girl's faces and everyone else cowering as they get a full blast of my aura.

“I have never been so disappointed in my life at anyone let alone the two of you.” I was furious. “You know the parents who raised her used to lock her up in her room when she was finished school, and the day she turned 18 she was thrown out on the streets. Do you know the hell your mother went through with that man? No, you don’t; to be told you aren’t good enough for anyone, no one would want you. To be called fat and ugly because you were pregnant. Or how about what it's like to be beaten because someone doesn't like what you cooked? How about someone takes a knife to you and cuts your initial in your side because they don't like dinner? When your child won't stop crying and you get scalding hot milk thrown at you. Or when someone threatens to kill your child because you are doing something they don't like. Or what it's like to be beaten and raped because he had a bad day.” I screamed at the two of them I could see Jake was pissed. But the other three didn't know it; tears were rolling down Mira and Gigi’s faces not knowing what their mother went through and my son Lex, I think it's a good thing Steph is dead or he would murder him.

“Dad I'm sorry I didn't we didn't know.” Samantha trying to apologize.

“That’s right you didn't, you don't know a lot, Samantha. This is my fault for the way you all turned out. I spoiled the four of you and your mother is right you need to be humbled. I have seen a lot in my days but no one has hurt me or your mother the way you two did today. I hope you are happy.” I snapped as I walked away.

“But Daddy we didn't mean it,” Alicia called out.

“I guess I have to repeat these words to all of you today. Words have power and can cut deeper than any knife. You can't take it back once it's said.” I sigh and go to leave.

“Dad.” I don't even know which one called out.

I didn't even turn around. “Enough,” I called out. “I have to go find your mother.” I walked away.
