Mark cast a sideways glance and smiled. “Well, if you can hang on to Sarah for a whole year, I’ll be damned impressed.”
Sarah arrived in Atlanta several hours before Matt’s game began. She met Jess at the stadium, pleased her friend could attend the game today. Unlike Sarah, Jess had a wonderful family and probably wanted to spend time with them instead.
Sarah had enjoyed visiting with her brother. She rarely saw Randy anymore and he had brought life back to her parents’ house. He’d liked Matt, too. Fortunately, Randy missed most of the boys Sarah brought home, as he’d been away at college by the time she entered high school and began dating.
