Even without Matt’s company, Sarah did manage to enjoy her time at home. She went out with Lori and Maria, enjoying a meal and some shopping with her best friends. They were envious of her Christmas gift and helped her select some new clothes for the trip. Lori even talked Sarah into buying a long, black negligee as a surprise for Matt. She felt rather uncomfortable, but purchased it anyway. Aside from the bridesmaid dress from Lori’s wedding, the silk gown was the only feminine thing she owned. Sarah hoped it would not shock Matt.
