XI - Unresolved Issues
“I wish we could come to Greenville for Christmas, but James has to work,” Maria’s regretful voice echoed through Sarah’s cell phone. “At least we’ll get to spend the day with his family. Plus we’ll get to see you afterwards.”
Sarah smiled and leaned her head against the seat. She planned to visit her friend after Christmas, and Maria sounded happy with the arrangements. Sarah would spend almost two whole days with Maria and James and return before Matt departed for his bowl game.
“Hey, I’m excited, too. I can’t wait to see what you look like now.”
When Maria moaned, Sarah grinned at Matt. Focused on his driving, he was attempting to reach Greenville in record time. Sarah looked forward to spending the holiday season with him this year. Outside of Matt’s football
