I was so sure that Davina’s sudden appearance had ruined my date with Amelia and our progress altogether, but that was not the case. Instead, it help me understand Amelia better, all while wracking me with guilt for all the shitty things I said to her when we met. Everything she said in the car pierced my heart and soul.
She’s controlled and level-headed because one impulsive word or act would be detrimental to her position as an Alpha. She was right. I made the same argument against her, so I know I was no better, but hearing her talking about what it was like for her growing up had me thinking about what it was like for me growing up.
