CHAPTER 8
Abe and I did pretty well on our presentation “Of Mice and Men.” Abe was great, and the music was perfect. I stumbled on a couple of the lines. Other than that I did pretty well. We received a B for our presentation. It upset me as I knew I’d cost Abe an A in the course. Nevertheless, he was good-natured and said he was happy with the grade we’d received. He was okay with it, but I still felt like I’d let him down. Oh well, on to Macbeth.
I had gotten recharged working with Abe while doing as well as we did in music appreciation. It made me determined to do the best I could in the Macbeth play. I was ready to accept the challenge. I figured it was my first good chance to show I could act. The following week I spent all of my time working on my studies and memorizing my lines fo
