CHAPTER 3 When I arrived at the Los Angeles International Airport, I took the bus to downtown Hollywood. They let me off in front of the historic Roosevelt Hotel where many movie stars have stayed. As I stood there, I thought, boy this is something; here I am standing in Hollywood, the home of all the great film stars. I looked up and down the street and could almost visualize all the movie stars who had strolled in and out of the hotel and casually walked right where I was now standing. I was hoping to see someone famous, but I didn’t. Dragging my Samsonite, I walked down to the corner and crossed the street to the Graumans Chinese Theatre. I set my heavy suitcase down and looked at all the famous star’s footprints, in the concrete, in front of the theater. The latest ones were of Yul B
