They both had a good meal quietly, the meal was french oats and a delicious burger. Different thoughts occupy each other's mind. Sebastian wishes that he can go ahead and tell Lily how he actually feels about her, but then he still wants to retain his respect, and not just that, the fact that he also has to keep the secret away from her as he isn't ready to tell anyone yet.
"I hope you like your meal" Sebastian asked Lily, trying to break the long silence at the dinner room.
"Yes, I love it, it tastes great," Lily replied with smiles on her beautiful face.
Sebastian stole occasional glances at Lily, he noticed how beautiful she really looked and hoped to be able to tell her how he feels about her without having to worry about how she would react about the issues that have to do with his past. He really wished that everything about the curse could just go off so that he can have his life back and be able to concentrate on building his love life and have kids of his own.
"Sir, I would like to get dressed so that we can leave for the office already," Lily said as she got up from the dining table, bringing Sebastian back from his thoughts.
"Lily, I have told you that you can stop addressing me as 'sir.' You are free to address me by my first name," Sebastian said calmly.
"I'm sorry sir, but it would be difficult for me to completely address you by your first name, you are still my boss. I appreciate your kindness towards me and I'm very grateful for it, but I can't address you by your first name. I hope that you will understand me," Lily said respectfully.
Sebastian stared at Lily for some minutes. She was right, it wouldn't be good for this to let down his position, but what's the point when the heart is already in love?
"It's okay, I get you, but should do that when you are in the office, but whenever you are around me alone, you should be free to call me by my first name," He insisted.
Lily stared at his face, she didn't have a choice but to accept to call him by his first name, she had to accept reluctantly, even though she doesn't feel really comfortable about it. In her head, she there's to think about why her boss was beginning to treat her differently with so much care and affection, she had to believe it's no longer about having to pretend being his girlfriend in order to hurt his ex-wife it was obvious that he now has a different intention towards her and Lily became really worried. What if she loses her job if she refuses to yield? She put her lower lips gently reminding herself to stop thinking too much.
"I need to go right now," she said softly, leaving the dinning room to go get her handbag, she dared not look at his face and she prays silently that he doesn't make another ridiculous request from her.
Sebastian eats his remaining food quietly, reminding himself to be cautious in handling the matters of his heart so that he wouldn't lose his respect from Lily, but he's already falling in love with this lady and each time he tries to shove the feeling aside, the more it springs up, messing up his head.
Lily came back to the living room, where Sebastian sat, he had abandoned his meal as it's already cold and the thoughts of Lily felt in his stomach.
"I'm set sir, I will meet with you at the office," Lily said as she went towards the exit door.
"That's okay," Sebastian replied indifferently, without looking up.
Lily booked a taxi straight to the office, it was going to be a hectic day for her as she already had much work to do.
"Hey girl, I see that you didn't come in with the boss today. Has he f****d and dumped you already?" One of her colleagues teased her by smiling mischievously.
"Well, I don't owe you an explanation for whatever I choose to do with my life, but at least I'm still better than you for the fact that I don't throw myself at the boss and still end up rejected by the boss," Lily replied, laughing out loud. Her colleague got pissed off and left Lily's desk angrily. Lily was happy she gave her colleague that response.
Lily worked for some more hours before she decided to go have some lunch, she stepped into the elevator, she was surprised to see her boss in the elevator, their eyes met, they were so close to each other as their rubbed against each other, each inhaling the rich perfume of each other, Sebastian took a little time to look into Lily's eyes.
Lily wasn't expecting to meet him there in the elevator, she had been trying to focus on her job and not get distracted, but it seemed that it would be really hard for her to actually focus. Sebastian had his gaze on her pretty face, he was so close to her, the elevator only had a small space, this made his lips almost brushing through hers, shivers of emotion rushing through her body. She dared not raise her head, her lips were definitely going to touch his, this is not what she thought it would be, perhaps she was overthinking or over imagining things. Sebastian moved a little bit away from Lily, the silence between them was deafening. Lily wanted to say something, but she didn't know what exactly to say. Of course she still knows the fact that Sebastian remains her boss, so she needed to be careful with her choice of words.
Sebastian stared into Lily's face, he really wanted to stop himself from staring at her, but it's obvious he can longer control himself as he's enveloped with intense emotions.
