Chapter 2

Sebastian had just arrived in his office and just like every other morning he went straight to his office so that he would be able to do some work for the day. It was a very bright Wednesday morning and he had lots of jobs on his desk to be attended to, but then he couldn't even concentrate since had a lot going on in his head.

Rosie his wife had cheated on him by sleeping with one of his friends, even though he had separated from Rosie while waiting for the proper divorce, each time the thoughts of what Rosie had done creeps into his mind, it ends up messing with his whole being and shattering his heart, Sebastian wished he could get to forget about the whole damn things Rosie had done and concentrate on the numerous number of girls frolicking around trying to get his attention, but then Sebastian was very careful when it comes hooking up with the girls especially the ones in his company.he was the super rich CEO and supper cute too.

Sebastian was undeniably cute, he had achieved lots of things, becoming a CEO in his mid thirties and had lots of things going smoothly for him except for one thing 'love'. Sebastian hasn't been lucky with matters of his heart, which had been broken by Rosie.

As Sebastian sat down, his eyes cut up with an Invite on the table, he reluctantly picked it up and opened it.

"Damn!" He exclaimed, it was an invite for a friend's party coming up. Sebastian had so much wanted to go the party to have some fun and unwind, but then it would be very tasteless to go to such party without a girl beside him, a girl he could hold by the arms and walk into the party, the thoughts of not having a girl to go to the party with him made him so uncomfortable since Rosie was going to be in the said party, he needed to make her jealous,he needed to make her regret ever hooking up with his own friend.

"Hello sir, you have some files to attend to," an angelic female voice said, dropping a file gently on his desk. Sebastian didn't even know when Lily had walked into the office, her sweet melodious voice brought him back to his memories distracting him from his thoughts.

Lily, a beautiful girl in her early twenties,was employed a few months back as his personal Assistant and had since been doing her job perfectly unlike the other girls who wanted to get into the pants of Sebastian and wanted him to lay with them. Lily was different, she was unique and had some sense of decency.

"You can drop it on the desk," Sebastian said, emotionless,still lost with the worries of whom he would go to the upcoming party with.

Lily dropped the file on the desk and turned to leave the office.

Sebastian lifted his head up and his eyes cut with Lily's backside. For the first time Sebastian noticed how beautiful Lily was. She wore a very short skirt with a simple work shirt, and her rounded body became so evident that he couldn't help but to admire her. She was damn beautiful. Of course Sebastian has been a bad boy and quite knew a beautiful lady when he sees one even though he got no interest in Lily as she was different from the other girls and he liked the fact that she faces her job and works diligently.

Like a flash, a thought creeped into his mind. He could go with Lily to the party , he would have her pretend to be his lover.'

"Excuse me Lily, can I ask you for a favor?" Sebastian said, lifting his head to look at Lily, not so sure if what he was about to do was the best thing.

He looked at Lily not knowing whether to go on and make his request, this would be the first time he would be making such a request, but then, he needed someone to accompany him to the party, he wouldn't want to look like a failure by going alone to the party.

"And what do you want me to do for you sir," Lily said, moving closer to where he was.

"You see I have a party to attend this Saturday and I would like you to accompany me to the party, I just want you to pretend to be my girlfriend, that's all you need to do,"

Lily looked at him in disbelief, she couldn't understand what he was trying to say.

"I don't get you sir, what exactly would you want me to do at the party for you and why?" Lily asked looking at his cute face and fighting so hard not to be carried away by his cute looking face.

"I want you to accompany me to the party, just to act like we are dating,I just wanted my ex wife Rosie to feel hurt, I just want to pay her back in her own coin, I just don't want her to see me as a failure, that's why I want you to accompany me to the party," Sebastian was hurt and almost about to break down, but he dares not break down in the presence of his employer,he wouldn't want to let himself down.

Now that's the most ridiculous request Lilyhad ever heard, why her, why choose her to pretend to be his girlfriend while there were lots of other girls who would agree to go with him even the ones in the company who have been seeking his attention. In as much she wouldn't want to pretend to be his girlfriend, but then she was moved with pity, she noticed how hurt his looks were, even though he was trying to conceal how hurt he was, Lily could still see the pains and hurt in his eyes, the pains of being cheated by someone you love so much.

"I'm sorry but I can't help you, I can't go with you to the party, it's enough already that your estranged wife thinks I'm dating you, and now you want to add to it?" Lily asked him.

"Yes Lily you are the best choice, you are good looking and that's for the fact that Rosie thinks we are going out is the more reason you should help me out, I just want her to feel hurt, I just want her feel the same way I felt when she hooked up with my friend,"

Lily stood there transfixed and not knowing exactly what to do, she really wanted to help him, but she was skeptical about what people would say, as there might be lots of people at the party who might misunderstand the whole thing. Lily wouldn't want her name stained.

"Think about it Lily, just pretend to be my girlfriend at the party and I will treat you to a special dinner at my place. You are going to have a special dinner with me, that's my promise," Sebastian said calmly, moving closer to Lily.

"That's okay, I will help you," Sebastian said quietly, After much pleas Lily reluctantly accepted to help him out.

Lily walked back into her office, she was still skeptical about the whole thing, but she had to accept, she didn't want to turn her boss down, and she thought it would be better to help him out with his problems.

"Hey girl, what were you discussing with the boss, I see you took so much time coming out from his office when you went to drop those files," One of the girls who worked on the same desk with Lily asked her, making her face.

"Hey, I'm not like you, I only went in there to drop a file to him," Lily responded in a sarcastic way, making the girl feel hurt as she left the office and Lily's face curled up with a smile, she was glad she put the girl in her place.

Lily couldn't even concentrate on her job for the rest of the day, the thoughts of having to pretend to be boss Sebastian's girlfriend kept creeping into her mind, messing up with her thoughts, even though she had accepted to help him out, but then it would only be fueling the rumors going round that she had something to do with her boss, and it would only make Rosie hate her the more since Rosie thinks that Lily was flirting with Sebastian. Was she really ready for this? She kept asking herself, and what would be the turnout of events at the party, what if this whole pretense thing doesn't end well.

Lily shoved the negative thoughts off her mind and tried to concentrate on her work but still she couldn't, then a little voice creeped into her head. How great would it feel to be boss Sebastian's girlfriend? Then she would need to try to find out how it feels to act as Sebastian's girlfriend.
