Chapter 9| A Kiss From The Ceo

Lily was glad when the elevator finally got to the ground floor. She turned around to greet Sebastian. She remembers that she didn't even greet him all through the time they were in the elevator.

"Good day sir," Lily greeted him quietly, bringing him back from his thoughts.

"Hello Lily. Where are you heading to?" Sebastian asked, looking round the hotel premises.

"It's time for lunch sir. I'm going to have my lunch," Lily replied, trying to avoid his gaze, as she was becoming uncomfortable with the way some of the company staff were staring at them.

"Okay then, you are free to join me as I will go to have lunch too," he said calmly.

Lily couldn't say no to him, she followed him closely while he led the way, but instead of the company's cafeteria, he headed towards one of the restaurants around the company. Lily followed him closely. Lily went to the restaurant on several occasions whenever she didn't feel like eating at the company's cafeteria, or whenever she felt like having a private time for herself.

"We have to eat here, so that you can feel free with me. I wouldn't want the other staff at the cafeteria to keep with unnecessary attention," Sebastian said as they settled on the seats.

Lily was glad that he actually felt for her and also concerned about her own feelings. It feels good to know that he actually cares about her reputation, so they sat down to have their meal. The restaurant was well decorated and very beautiful. She had picked the menu and ordered her favorite meal, while Sebastian also made his choice. They ate almost in silence as each of them had a lot of thoughts running through their minds. Sebastian could no longer hide the fact that he had fallen for Lily. His only fear is how to make his intentions known to her, but most importantly, how to make this curse go away so that he can focus on building his love life again.

Who will love a cursed Alpha? Which woman in her right senses would accept to marry someone who would be able to have a child of his own? He had lots of questions in his head and almost running the beautiful lunch time he wanted to enjoy with Lily. "s**t," he cursed under his breath, making sure that Lily did not hear him. He made up his mind to visit the Pack again, to see if he would be able to confront witch Magana and at least to set himself free so that he could enjoy his relationship if he eventually decides to date Lily.

Lily's attention was on the meal. She knows when a man loves a woman and treats her special, she knows that her boss is already in love with her.

About a few minutes later, they were done with their meal and headed back to the company.

"Thank you so much for the lunch," Lily said as they went back into the company.

"You don't have to thank me. I'm glad that you accepted to come have lunch with me," Sebastian said as he leaned closer to Lily.

The urge of emotion was gradually building in him, he said. He was staring deep into Lily's cute eyes and was gradually losing hold of himself. Sebastian prayed silently to overcome the feeling that was gradually building inside of him, but it looked like the more he prayed for it to go away, the more it kept coming. He took a step closer to Lily, he inhaled her nice cologne that smelled like a cherry. Her cheek in his huge palms, he lifted her face and planted a warm, wet kiss on her lips. Her lips tasted so good that he kept kissing them. Lily enjoyed the taste of his lips, but suddenly she became aware of their presence, they were still in their company and that was not the best thing to do.

"Mr Sebastian, we are in the office" Lily called silently under his breath, taking her lips gently away from him.

For once, Sebastian took hold of himself, he took a step backwards.

"I'm sorry about this," he apologized quietly, even though he wasn't really sorry about missing her because he enjoyed every bit of it. His mind couldn't get at rest. It was the wrong thing to do. He could have taken her to his apartment or to a hotel where they could have the best of moments together and not right here in the office.

Sebastian adjusted his shirt, straightened his face and said casually to her ". Prepare the conference room. We are going to be having an important meeting with a guest company and also get your files ready. You will be making the presentation."

Lily was relieved that the atmosphere had changed, it had once again returned to what it used to be.

"Yes is…..," she replied quietly,not knowing the actual words to address him. Did he just kiss her right now? She kept asking herself. She can't deny the fact that she truly enjoyed his kisses,but she hopes that the kisses were really genuine.

Lily quickly made the preparations for the conference meeting. She got the files ready.

"You can do this, Lily," she said quietly to herself.

The conference room of the company is very large, it had all the necessary equipment and gadgets. The projector was already set and it looked like she was the one they had been waiting for as some of the guest company representatives were already seated when Lily got there; the representatives of the guest company were also seated. The moment Lily came into the conference room, she looked round. Her eyes met with Sebastian, who was also staring at her and, for a moment, the memory of the kiss they just had a few minutes ago flashed into her head. She couldn't help but feel guilty. She quietly prayed not to mess things up as the inquisitive eyes of Sebastian focused on her. She knew how much this project meant to him and she had prepared diligently for it. But why would he choose today of all days to kiss?
