Prologue
“Yes, and I need a bulk order of lamb chops,” said Lucia Capula as she held the phone receiver to her ear.
Suddenly, a scuffle broke out in the hallway outside her door. She nearly dismissed it, until she heard what sounded like a body slamming against the wall.
“You know what, Tony? Something is going on outside my door. I hope this retirement party didn’t get out of hand. Let me put the phone down. Don’t leave me, I’ll be right back!” said Lucia.
Lucia opened her office door and blood started to creep toward her feet. Confused, she shifted her eyes to the middle of the hallway. When she saw the body on the floor, she screamed, “Help! Help! Please, help! Oh my! Help!”
And then she collapsed.
