Chapter 6: Mato Potion

"Mommy went out with cousin Lara. So for now, you're staying with me. When we get over there, you'll call me Mom not Aunt Aemy. Mmmm?" Aemy said.
Bryan nods. "Okay Aunt."
"Bryan, Aunt got you an orange juice." Aemy gives it to him.
"Thanks Aunt Aemy." Bryan drinks from it. After having a drink, he fell unconscious.
Aemy sighed and lay him down.
"Is this really the right thing to do?" Rita asked.
"Yes. This is the only way to save the kids. Alexis, Lexi and Lara can't grow up together. Especially Lexi, she can't live with them until she's at the rightful age.
Rita glanced at Bryan. "Poor child. The same goes to Lara, right? She'll think Momo is here Mother."
Aemy nods. "Where is Mira? She's supposed to meet us here."
"Maybe she was caught."
"I.. I.. Mira?" Aemy gasps as she sees how Mira was.
"MIRA!!" Rita ran to her.
Mira weakly fell to the ground, breathing slowly. "W.. where is Lara?"
"She's safe. Momo took her away."
"Thank you." Mira let out a weak sigh.
"What happened to you? James found out already?" Aemy asked.
"Ye.. Yes. Aemy please don't let him have Lara."
"I won't." Aemy brings out a potion from her bag and gives it to Mira.
Mira drinks it. "What's this?"
"Mato Potion."
"Mato Potion? What's that?"
"HEY! YOU! MIRA!! SPIT IT OUT!! AEMY ARE YOU NUTS?!! Rita yelled as her eyes widened.
"I.. I've already swallowed it." Mira looked confused.
"Aemy! Are you crazy?!" she glared at Aemy. "Do you know what you've done? We're not out of the problem we're into and now you have created another one."
"Problem? What problem?" asked.
"That potion was created with Lara's blood and you know what that means?"
"Wh.. what?!" Mira gasps. "Yo..You..Yo.." she stutters.
"And do you know what you'll turn to? A monster? You'll turn into a monster! Although you're alive, you'll have to feed on human blood just to be alive, almost like a vampire but way too dangerous than them."
"That's the only way to save Mira."
"For the cost of human lives?"
"I'll protect her. I'll create another potion that will quench her thirst for blood."
Rita forced a smile. "You'll create one? You don't even have any idea on what to do. Besides we're all in danger. So how are you gonna create it? When?"
"Gu... guys... ahhhhhhhh!!!" Mira gasps as she place her hand on her chest when she felt some pain.
"Mira what's wrong?" they asked simultaneously.
"I.. It hurts.." she cries out.
"You don't have to worry. You'll be okay in the next two days. James will be here soon. Let's go out separat ways. Just make sure to be safe. Let's meet after 10 years."
"Okay." They teleported.

Two Days Later
Rita woke up and couldn't find Mira. She searched and searched but still couldn't find her. "Mira!! Mira!!"
"What do I do?" she panicked. "Where did she run to? What if she run into James and his men or humans? Aish!!" She ruffles her hair feeling frustrated.
As she was still searching for Mira, she heard footsteps before she could hide, she was surrounded by six men all dressed in black cloak.
The leader held her chin and asked. "Where is the child? How dare you betray the Sect and Master? Because of your foolishness, we're all in danger."
"You know I didn't! And what's wrong with loving someone?"
"You know the rules!!"
"To rules? To hell with those!! Do you think I don't know you love someone too?" Kai's eyes widened. "So will you stop deceiving yourself with those rules? If I could find out, do think Master wouldn't find out. What if they use her as your weakness? Which they already did?"
Kai didn't get what she mean. "Why did you give birth to his child and put yourself in so much trouble?"
"His child?" Rita sneered. "Mike? So you think Mike is the father? Is that why he was killed?"
"I was ordered to... I... only did what was right."
"What was right?" Rita chuckled bitterly. "By killing him? You killed him... no... you should be the one dead. Yes.. you should have die not him. He did nothing wrong!!" Rita screamed.
"RITA!!!" Kai felt his heart burning from what Rita said.
"WHAT!! That's the truth! Mike is a human not like is! How can a human harm us?"
"But a child of a Hedge-Witch and Huma can."
Rita eyebrow knitted in confusion. "What? What are you talking about? You know that's not possible."
"Then how do you explain your child?"
"I.. I .. my child..." Rita kneeled down. "Kai, ple..ase don't kill her."
"You know I can't do that. You're the only surviving Hedge-Witch, if you die then your rac.."
"I don't care!! If you kill her, you're gonna regret it one day!" Rita chimed in.
"Did you just curse me?"
"No I didn't but that's the fact. One day you'll come to regret your decision today. So I'm begging you to please stop."
"Do you know how hard it is for me to do this? Just surrender, I'm sure Master will forgive you."
Rita stood up. "You can still obey his order. Just kill me and let my child go!!"
"I rather kill the child. Rita, you're really making it hard for me."
"No I'm not. If you listen to me, one day you'll be grateful that you made the right decision."
Kai was speechless. "Grateful? For killing you and saving the child? Noni wouldn't. So just tell me where the child is, then we can go back to how it was."
"No we won't."
"Rita are you crazy!!"
"Crazy!!" Rita smiled smugly. "Yes. I..." suddenly her smile froze and Kai was stunned.
A stake was stabbed in her stomach, blood flowed out of the wound. The person holding the stake was Franklin.
"F.. Franklin? Y..yo.. you really did it?" she said not surprised at all.
"HEY!! FRANKLIN!!" Kai angrily punched him. "Why did you do it?"
Rita weakly fell to the ground, Kai rushed towards her and held her. "Ple..ase do .. don't kill h..her." she closed her eyes as he breath her last breathe.
"R.. Rita don't you dare die."
"Ri.. ta? RITA!!" he wailed and a drop of tears fell on his cheeks.
"Kai! Let's go."
"She's a traitor! Even if I don't kill her! Someone else will do it!!"
"Ahhhhhhhhhhhh!!!" Kai wailed.
