I dropped immediately without even thinking and as soon as I did, the window above me exploded with glass raining down on my back. The next sound was a loud bang that made my ears ring and then another and another until I couldn't tell where one gunshot ended and the next began.
Ryder was already moving and I watched him walk across the room in three strides before he grabbed my arm and hauled me up like I weighed nothing. "Move, now."
I didn't argue with him this time as he pulled me through the corridor.
