I walk out from the campus building, holding my purse across my shoulder as I step upon the gravel. From a distance, I can see Arturo getting out of his car but I turn my gaze away, pretending like I don’t even know that he exists. “Miss Lilas…Mr Salvatore asked me to bring you.”
Richard says and I look at him scarcely.
“Bring me where.” I ask quietly.
“When we get there, he’ll explain.” Richard says and I can see Arturo gazing in our direction. This man really doesn’t mind his business.
“The car is there.” Richard says, and I nod my head, beginning to follow him. I get into the car and I take out my phone. I go through my message logs to check if Slavatore sent anything to me. N
