“Me?” I shot back.
Why in the world would he want me to be the one to seal the deal?
Why would he want to save this company that I was happy was going under?
I had to turn down this offer one way or the other because this was my chance to leave and be free.
I shot him a quick gaze and our eyes met--his smile was someone with a hidden plan and Perry would be stupid to not give in beside this won’t be the first time he would throw me under the bus at the slightest chance to further his business and this offer was just too good.
I have only heard of Silas Moretti in the business world--took over his father’s company when it was almost bankrupt due to shady business deals and money laundering charges. Heck, he was a god in the business world and I f****d him.
