The Hybrid Mates

Waking up, my eyes are still heavy as I groan, feeling the wire and tubes coming from my body as I open my eyes fully. Realizing I am in the hospital, once I know where I am, I suddenly feel the tingles that I had felt before passing out. Looking down, I see one of the Alphas that came to the pack to find his mate holding my hand. It's Alpha Danicus. He has his head on the bed, and by his breathing I can tell he is asleep. Since he is asleep I gently pull my hand away from his, hearing a small but aggressive growl it sends shivers down my spin. As soon as I hear the growl my hand goes straight for his head, playing with his hair. He soon calms down just from my touch. Playing with his hair I realize how soft it is. As I am sitting there playing with his hair, I don't hear one of the nurses walk in then I hear her soft voice

Nurse "Glad to see you are awake Ruby, we have all been worried about you. Oh and since you were not awake for your your birthday."

Looking at here as so many questions come to mind, as my heart rate picks up Alpha Danicus jumps up worried about what's happening to me. Once he sees I am awake he locks his eyes on mine speaking to the nurse.

"Leave us and tell Alpha Stephen she is awake."

Without another word the nurse left leaving me alone with one of the most feared Alpha, knowing how much people are scared of him I don't feel that, what I feel is safety and so much more that I am not used to. He takes a step closer letting me see his green eyes more clearly as they that take my breath away. Once he is close enough he leans down gently grabbing my hand that was playing with his hair as he kisses my knuckles making sure not to break eye contact with mine. As we are having a beautiful moment, Alpha Stephen walks in with a doctor and a few nurses behind him. When Alpha Stephen sees how close Alpha Danicus and I are, we hear a growl coming from Alpha Stephen. When I heard the growling I quickly pulled my hand away, even though I didn't want to.

Alpha Danicus looked hurt when I pulled my hand away, but then his eyes went to Alpha Stephen. When their eyes met there was growling coming from both of them. When Alpha Stephen took a step towards me, Alpha Danicus jumped over the bed getting into a defensive stance. When I seen them both get defensive, I jump out of my bed standing in-between them both. Placing one hand on either of their chest trying to hold them back their growls got louder. Then they heard my voice coming over both of their growling.

"Stop this is not the time or the place. Alpha Danicus, Alpha Stephen was just checking on me since I am part of his pack. Alpha Stephen, Alpha Danicus is my mate so he is going to be protective over me."

When both of them heard my words they straightened up and stepped growling. Both of them apologizing to the nurses and doctor and myself. Then Alpha Stephen takes a deep breath as he leaves the room. Once he is gone my legs decide to give out, but I don't hit the ground landing against a hard warm chest, feeling arms wrap around my body then I feel the sparks and I let out a soft groan. When the groan I hear a chuckle as well as feel vibrating from the chest that is holding me. I am then picked up and placed on the bed. When I feel the bed, I look up seeing Alpha Danicus he then takes a step back letting the nurses and doctor check me out.

After a few moments of getting checked out the doctors speaks with a firm voice looking me in the eyes.

"You seem to be healing just fine Ruby, you may be released and go to the party tonight but please be careful. I don't want to see you in here again on your birthday."

After hearing the doctors words and waiting for them to leave, Alpha Danicus comes over to me picking me up in a bridal way. Giggling softly as we head out of my room and exiting the hospital. As he carries me I lean against his chest enjoying the closeness and tingles I am getting from us touching. Closing my eyes when we get close to the pack house since I know others will be there sitting things up for tonight. Instead of putting me down when we get inside he carries me all the way to his room, placing me on his bed then climbing in himself as he pulls me close to him playing with my hair, hearing him speak softly.

"Rest my gem, then we will get ready for your birthday party tonight."

Nodding my head softly then closing my eyes as I feel him kiss the top of my head, my wolf purring softly as I drift off to sleep.
