Truth Or Dare

“Okay, now who wants to make out with Rayleigh?” Dean smiled at me.  Everyone raised their hands and volunteered.  “I say Rayleigh and Ava.” Emily smiled. “What?” Ava and I looked at each other in shock.  Everyone cheered and agreed. “You know she’s dating my sister right?” Ava said rudely over the crowd.  “So what?” She smirked. “It’s a friendly game.” “That’s true.” Dean nodded.  “So. Lets go.” Emily ordered. I looked at Ava and she looked drunk enough to do it but not drunk enough to forget that it happened. I wasn’t going to make out with my potential girlfriend’s little sister. “One kiss. That’s it.” Ava protested. “What?” I looked at her confused.  “Open mouth but no tongue.” She demanded. “Ava.” I whined. “Fine with us.” Sean laughed.  “Come here Rayleigh.” She pulled her face close to mine.  “I don’t think this is a good idea.” I tried to pull away.  It was too late her lips were against mine and the crowd went wild. As they got louder she got bolder. She slipped her tongue into my mouth. I quickly pulled away. “Ava.” I said in shock.  “Friendly game.” Ava winked at me. “Who’s next?” “Truth or dare Sean.” Ava smiled.  “Truth.” He sipped his beer.  “Is it true that you took Emily’s virginity?” Ava sputtered.  Everyone got quiet and looked at Sean and then back at Emily.  “Uh.” He stuttered. “Not exactly.” “I’m sorry, I didn’t make it clear enough did I?” Ava hiccupped. “Her backdoor virginity.” I could tell Ava was getting drunker by the minute. Her words were almost completely slurred. “Well, yeah.” He confessed.  “Game over.” Emily said angrily as she charged towards Ava.  “No, it’s just starting.” I smiled as I stepped in front of Ava.  “Move lesbo, this isn’t your fight.” She tried to push pass me.  “It’s a friendly game.” I drunkenly pushed her.  “Then I’ll just knock your head off. In a friendly way of course.” She flashed a fake smile. “You don’t want this.” I warned her.  “Or this!” Ava yelled. “Girl fight!” Nick shouted to the crowd causing everyone to surround us. “No.” Sean stepped in between us. “Don’t do this Rayleigh.”  “I’m not going to let her bully an underclassmen. Especially not one of my closest friends.” I snarled. “Whatever.” She said smiling. “Sean you’re going to let her talk to me like that?” “I’m one of your closest friends?” Ava drunkenly hugged me from behind. “So sweet!” “No, I’m not.” Sean cleared his throat.  “Thank you.” She smiled and crossed her arms.  “Get out.” He ordered. “Okay.” I shrugged and grabbed Ava’s hand.  “Are we going to get chicken wings?” Ava whispered in my ear. “Not you Rayleigh.” Sean stopped me. “I was talking to Emily.” “What?” She said shocked. “You heard him.” Dean smiled.  “Fine.” She stormed out and slammed the door behind herself. “Let the game continue.” He smiled.  We all returned to our seats and started to play again.  Everyone decided to play spin the bottle instead of truth or dare. It was less of a chance for drama to be started. Everyone was making out with either their best friends or strangers. It was fun. I just sat there with Ava and watched. We were both taken, and looking back on it I would rather kiss Ava – someone I knew – than someone I never even spoke to. I took at least four more shots while I made Ava stick to beer.  Clayton walked in with a girl. I recognized her. It was Stephanie the bartender. “Who is that girl?” Ava said jealously. “Are you here to play with her?” “She’s not here for me.” He said calmly.  “Oh no?” Ava stammered to her feet. “Who is she here for then?”  “Rayleigh.” He smiled.  “What? Why?” She looked up at me. “I don’t know.” He said wrapping his arm around Ava’s waist. “But I’m here for you.”  “Oh okay.” She giggled. “Can we go get hot wings?”  “Sure.” He smiled as they walked out hand in hand.  “Sean rammed Emily!” She whispered even though everyone could hear. We all laughed as Sean turned red.  “Hey Rayleigh.” Stephanie smiled.  “Hi.” I waved. “Can I play?” She sat down in Ava’s spot.  “Sure.” I smiled. “Forget Ava, can you kiss her?” Sean nudged his brother.  “As fun as that sounds. I have to use the bathroom.” I said standing to my feet.  The room was spinning and I couldn’t see straight but I knew I couldn’t kiss this girl. Not with Atia being my every thought.  “Want me to help you?” She smiled and tried to get up.  “No, you're fine.” I patted her head.  “Greg.” I pointed him out from the crowd.  “Yeah?” He answered quietly.  “Come with me.” I ordered. He stood to his feet and guided me out the den and into a bathroom. He tried to close the door behind me.  “Wait.” I stopped it. “Come in.” “Seriously?” He laughed.  “Yes.” I smiled.  He stepped in and I could tell he was uncomfortable.  I pulled down my shorts and sat down on the toilet. Normally I was really private but Greg wasn’t exactly on my team. He liked the opposite of what I did. He was a boy that loved boys. That’s what made us click back in middle school. We confessed our true sexualities at a party when we got shoved in the closet for 7 minutes of heaven.  “What’s going on?” He smiled at me.  “I don’t want to kiss her.” I frowned. “Then don’t.” He said looking at his face in the mirror.  “But, Atia doesn’t want to kiss me. She hasn’t even been around me all day. She’s with Stefanie!” I whined.  “On second thought,  go kiss that girl.” He demanded. “No. I – I cant.” I stuttered.  “Why not?” He sighed. “Do you think shes with this Stefanie thinking about you the way you are thinking about her?” He folded his arms.  “Well – no.” I admitted.  “Then why are you sitting here driving yourself crazy. It’s a friendly game remember? Go have fun.” He promised. “Maybe you’re right.” I nodded.  “I am.” He smiled proudly. “Now, wipe your parts so we can go back in there. I want to kiss on some boys and let them think It just happened by chance.”  “Okay.” I laughed as I flushed the toilet and washed my hands.  I looked at myself in the mirror and fixed my clothes. My face started to drain color, I needed to feed within the next few hours. I ignored my impulse to rip Greg’s throat out and walked out the bathroom.  “Hey Greg, can you come here for a sec?” A boy shouted from down the hall.  “Sure.” He disappeared.  I decided to ditch the game and return back to the bar. I wanted food. I walked over to the table and filled my plate with chicken wings. I walked through the crowd and up the stairs to the loft.  “DJ is going on break.” The girl on the spin tables shouted over the mic. “Be back soon.” She left her booth and walked past me.  I started to eat my chicken. It was so good I couldn’t help but eat them as fast as I could.  “Hungry?” She said walking towards me. “Yes.” I smiled.  “Hi Hungry, I’m Stiza.” She laughed.  “Hi.” I laughed embarrassed. “I’m Rayleigh.” “I know who you are.” She flirted.  “How?” I asked confused.  “I just know.” She grabbed a wing from my plate. “Thank you.” “Welcome.” I looked up at her.  “Well, I’m going to take my break.” She said cracking her knuckles. “Cracking your knuckles is bad for you.” I said annoyed. “I know. It’s a bad habit.” She frowned. “Yeah.” I agreed. “They say you need a good girl to break your bad habits.” She winked.  “Then I cant help you.” I joked.  “I like bad girls anyways.” She shrugged. “Wow, you are persistent.” I laughed.  “That’s my middle name.” She smiled. “I don’t want to waste your time I just had to tell you that you are truly beautiful.”  “Thank you.” I smiled back.  She was beautiful too. She had a ponytail that was picked out into a fro. She dressed like a tomboy but her clothes were all name brand and her diamond earrings were bigger than mine. Her face was completely flawless. My eyes traced down to her neck and I stared at her veins. All I could hear was the music that was just background noise compared to her heartbeat.  “Do you want to dance later?” She batted her eyelashes.  “I don’t think my girlfriend would approve.” I smiled.  “Oh, girlfriend?” She smirked. “Where is she? I don’t see her.”  “Good question, me either.” I pouted.  “Then you can at least save me a dance.” She said leaning over the loft.  “Maybe.” I hesitated.  “Okay, well. I’m going to get back to work. I’ll see you later.” She said walking back to her booth. She put her headphones back on and began to mix her music.  I stood up and headed down the stairs. I wanted more food.  “For a vegetarian you sure love chicken wings.” Chrissy said behind me as I grabbed another plate.  “For someone who is getting fat, you sure are back at this table.” I said sarcastically.  “How was truth or dare?” Chrissy asked ignoring my comeback and dipping her hot wing in ranch.  “It was interesting.” I chuckled. “Ava got really drunk and called out Emily and Sean about their backdoor deal.”  “Their what?” Chrissy asked with her mouth full of food. “Never mind.” I laughed. “What have you been up to?”  “Sunbathing.” She said proudly.  “Oh.” I said as I tried to pour a cup of juice. My hand got weak and the drink spilled all over the table and onto my plate of food. “Shit.” I said grabbing napkins.  “On a scale of 1-10 how drunk are you?” She said helping me clean my mess. “11.” I smiled.  “Great.” She sighed. “Let's find you a couch.”  “No thank you.” I said as I picked up a piece of chicken off of my plate.  “Don’t eat that!” Chrissy tried to snatch it from me.  “Why not?” I smiled. “It gives it flavor.” I bit into a piece. “You are truly disgusting” She snickered. “Look, there's Atia.”  “Who cares.” I said eating my food.  “You do.” She folded her arms.  “No I don’t.” I argued. “Do.” “Don’t.” “Do.”  “Don’t.” I yelled.  “Hey.” Atia interrupted.  “Hey.” Chrissy said happily. “Do.” She looked at me and walked away.  “Do?” Atia asked confused. “Inside joke.”  I giggled.  I started to get nervous. I didn’t know if it was the alcohol coming back or if it was Atia’s presence, but I was starting to feel nauseous.  “Oh okay.” She smiled. “So where have you been?”  “Playing truth or dare.” I smirked. “Oh, did you kiss anyone?” She said jealously.  “Nope.” I smiled. I knew that was the answer she wanted to hear and it was partially true. I didn’t consider Ava to be a kiss worth mentioning. It was like kissing a cousin when you would play house together or a friend you would practice kissing on. It was no emotion whatsoever.  “There’s someone I’ve been wanting kiss all day though.” I blushed.  “Who?”  She asked confused.  “You.” I smiled as I pulled her close and drunkenly kissed her. “Whoa.” She slowly pulled away. “Are you drunk?” I didn’t say anything. I pulled her back in and continued to kiss her. I tangled my fingers through her hair. “I take that as a yes.” She said pulling away again.  “You don’t want to kiss me?” I whined.  “I do but we have to get you home. You are too drunk.” She said seriously. “I don’t think there’s a such thing as too drunk. I feel great.” I smiled.  “Let's go find Chrissy and Ava.” She wrapped her arm around my waist.  “Okay.” I nodded.  I started to look for them but the room started to spin and my eyes wouldn’t focus. I blinked repeatedly hoping that it would help my vision but it only made the spinning worse. “Are you okay?” Atia asked concerned. “I need to sit down.” I said trying not to throw up.  I sat on the couch waiting for Atia to return to me with Chrissy and Ava. I continued to blink hoping my vision would come back. The room continued to spin and I could barely see people faces. “Hey.” Someone said taking a seat next to me. “Hi.” I smiled. “I’m sorry, but who are you?” I asked confused.  “Stiza” She chuckled. “Oh, DJ girl.” I said smiling. “Yeah, are you okay?” she asked “I am okay, I have to leave though.” I said rubbing my eyes.  “Well here’s my number.” She said placing a folded piece of paper into my hand. “Maybe I’ll see you another time.” She kissed my cheek.  “Maybe.” I smiled.  “Call me.” she said walking away. I placed the number in my jean pocket and continued to wait for Atia.  “Who was that?” I heard Atia’s voice. “Oh, the DJ.” I said honestly.  “Why did she kiss you?” She asked. “I think she likes me.” My words slurred together. “Let’s go.” She changed the subject.  “Are you mad at me?” I asked pouting. “You hate me don’t you?” I asked drunkenly.  “No, I don’t hate you.” She said coldly. “Let’s go home.”  She helped me from the couch and we walked towards the front door. We approached my car and Ava and Chrissy were already standing there waiting. “We can’t get in, the car is locked.” Chrissy said whining.  “Where’s your keys?” Atia asked.  “In here.” I pointed to my front left pocket. She pulled the keys from my pocket and unlocked the car. She helped me get in the front seat and buckled me up. I leaned my head against the window and nodded out before she could even start the car.
